  1. You both have done an outstanding job by losing over 100 lbs! How have you managed to drop the lbs so fast? I'm down 45 since surgery. Thanks.
  2. Sugar is like crack to me. I don't have an urge and I'm staying away as long as I can.
  3. I like the EAS Advantage Carb Control shakes. They come in 4 flavors and you can pick them up at Wal-Mart and most grocery stores.
  4. Sleeve date 10/15/12 Start weight : 297 Last sat weight: 281 Today's weight: 267 14 pounds this week!
  5. I had them for about a week after surgery. Feels like a little train running right up the middle of my stomach. They stopped happening on a random basis. I still get them now when I eat a little fast.
  6. I confess that even though I'm not hungry I daydream about BBQ pulled pork sandwiches with cole slaw on top.
  7. I had my surgery on 10/15. I feel great today and feel better than I have in the last 10 years. No pain or nausea and can keep everything down. I haven't had any hunger pains since the operation. Down 29 lbs to include the pre-op diet. Wore a suit today that I haven't been able to wear in 4 years. Having problems getting all of my water in but I can drink a 32oz G2 and usually knock down 2 EAS Carb Control drinks.
  8. Start tomorrow as a new day. There's probably a sugar free version of your favorite snacks. Buy some for those weak moments and don't let a bad day stretch into a bad week or bad month.
  9. I'm 9 days out and have no hunger pains. I cook for the family but haven't had a desire to actually eat solid food.
  10. Pre-op, I did 3 EAS drinks per day and would have a Cafe Steamer meal for dinner. I tried to drink as much Water as I could possibly get in during the day. If I had a little relapse, I just started again the next day with the same pattern. I lost 10lbs in 2 weeks in my preop stage. The headaches and sugar withdrawal symptoms lasted around 3-4 days. One day someone is going to prove that sugar is some type of narcotic
  11. Hello everyone. I just had my sleeve done on 10/15 and it's already one of the best decisions I've ever made. I feel better after 9 days than I have in the last 10 years. I'm in the DC area and am looking forward to hearing all of your stories of success.
  12. Congrats and thanks for sharing your feelings and thoughts! Good luck as you continue your journey!!!
  13. Stick with the 11/6 date. The cravings you have will go away and you'll lose more weight after your surgery than if you tried to diet all month and facing Thanksgiving, which is a few weeks away. Good luck!
  14. I'm getting the carbs in with my protein shakes but struggling with the water. Sugar is like crack to me so I'm going to try to avoid it for as long as I can
  15. Great job James! We have similar starting and goal weights. I hope I can duplicate your success.
  16. Hello everyone. I had mine on the 15th. I'm in Northern VA.
  17. Hi. I'm jkmarsh and anyone else can feel free to ad me. Good luck!
  18. Had my surgery 4 days ago and am actually surprised by the "lack" of pain. I was hooked up to a morphine pump the first day and just kept pushing it thinking I would head off any pain. Took some liquid pain meds they gave me on day 2 and 3 and just one dose on day 4. Today is day 5 and I haven't taken anything all day. I'm a little sore when I stand after sitting for a few seconds but that's about it.
  19. I like the EAS Advantage Carb Control shakes. You can get a 4pk for about $5 at Wal-Mart.
