I had been don't really well...down 54# total, including pre-op diet. This weekend I ended up in the ER with kidney stones. OMG they hurt like crazy. Now I'm on pain pills & zolfran for nausea. Crazy weekend. I guess I need to drink more water. Hope everyone is doing well.

Hi! You're right! We have gotten quiet. Things are just moving right along with me. My weight loss stalled a bit over the holiday, but it picked up again. I last another four pounds this week. I'm down 36 pounds now. I'm in awe about this working. I haven't yet trusted it completely and maybe I won't until I've lost all the weight, but so far it's really working. I'm not really working out much. I've been doing some wall pushups and walking everyday. I have not been cleared yet for weight lifting, but I am doing some work on my arms with light weights...mostly when I'm watching tv. It keeps me from thinking about food (the one time I really want to eat). How are you?

October Sleevers! Announce Yourselves
Good for you! I was sleeved Oct. 15 & have lost 32 pounds. I'm not working out yet because of a broken toe, but I do play Wii. Once I'm cleared to work out I know it will come off faster.

October Sleevers! Announce Yourselves
I was told to eat 60-70 grams of protein. When I was in a stall, I went up to 80-90 and it broke my stall. Try to get in more protein.

I know what you mean. I'm cooking, but I know I'll want to eat & eat. My plan is to use a tiny plate and put a tiny spoonful of everything on my plate, then eat real slow.

- "wls Is Not What God Intended..."
I haven't read everyone's post, so maybe someone said this... It seems to me that if God didn't want the surgery to exist (or other life-saving procedures like it), then he would not have allowed someone to have invented it. Maybe that's oversimplified, but it's how I see it. Sleeve date: Oct. 15. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy- Someone Advised Me Against The Surgery Today...
My stats: Top weight: 315 Pre-op: 289 Today: 261- Someone Advised Me Against The Surgery Today...
I was on the other side of this. My friend had this surgery nearly two years ago. I was angry with her. I thought it was cheating. I set out to prove to her that I could lose the weight without surgery. I also set out to research it...just to prove to her that she made a terrible mistake. One year after her surgery, I had lost 26 pounds working my @#! off, she had lost 120 pounds, and everything I had read proved to me she had made the right decision. Ten months later, I had the surgery and in one month I've lost 28 pounds...more than I lost in a year. It was hard to admit she was right to do this & to admit to her about my decision, but I'm glad I did. I almost lost my friend over that, but now we're closer than ever and she is my loudest cheerleader. Your responsibility is to do what's best for you & not let anyone detract you from that path. You got this!! Sleeve date: Oct. 15. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy- What If I Fail?
I was sleeved on October 15th. And I remember the self-doubt. I still have it with some bad days, but there are so many tools and people there to help you & they won't let you fail. If you stick to the program most days and you ask for help when you ned it, then you can't fail. For me, the best part is that my cravings for sweets are gone. Today at the store, I walked right past the donut case and didn't even think about them. I could care less. I never could have done that before the sleeve because I swear every donut, cookie & chocolate bar knew my name. No way could I resist them 100%. Forgive yourself for those mini candy bars (at least they weren't full size) and tomorrow is another day. Believe in yourself. You CAN do this. And in the end, when you have had the surgery, you will experience days of peace and contentment & you'll know that you can only succeed. You got this! Sleeve date: Oct. 15. Guess what today is!! It's November 15th--our one-month sleeversary! Happy Anniversary October 15th Sleevers!! We've come a long way! There have been tough times, and there are more to come, but we've had good times, too. Consider where we were two months ago. Remember the excitement you felt knowing your life was going to change soon? You made the decision to take control of your life--to live it on your own terms, and not let fear or cravings or hunger dictate your actions. You took a huge leap of faith. And that faith WILL pay off. We believed it then & we have to believe it now. We CAN do this!! We have already come so far. Promise yourself you will not give up...you are worth the effort. I haven't been getting enough either. Water has been giving me heartburn. I don't know why, but it makes it hard to drink it. I have been drinking hot herb tea & Sobe Life water. It helps, but I know it's not enough. Sleeve date: Oct. 15. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy- Oct. 15, 2012 Sleeve Date
Today was my first 12-hour shift since surgery, and my energy stayed rather consistent all day. I only wish I didn't have heart burn. Sleeve date: Oct. 15. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy- Best Protein Shake Ever
I eat Beans, fish, eggs, cottage cheese, and high protein oatmeal...among other things. I put plain greek yogurt in everything...that helps, too. Sleeve date: Oct. 15. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy- Oct. 15, 2012 Sleeve Date

The scale is moving again!! I lost the pound I gained plus two more. I'm relieved! Today I'm wearing pants that had been too tight before surgery but are now loose. Hope has returned! Sleeve date: Oct. 15. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy- October Sleevers-How Ya Doin?
Good for you! That's awesome! Sleeve date: Oct. 15. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy- Air In The Stomach
That's true. I'm so glad I'm not lactose intolerant. I tried lactose free stuff, but couldn't stand it. They add sugar & it's too sweet for me. Sleeve date: Oct. 15. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy - Oct. 15, 2012 Sleeve Date
