  1. No cheating here. I didn't go through this to blow everything on something sweet. I have been tempted, but if I imagine what it tastes like, then I feel satisfied. In my mind, sugar is the enemy and I won't let it win. Sleeve date: Oct. 15. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy
  2. Congratulations!! That is a huge accomplishment!! Sleeve date: Oct. 15. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy
  3. Yes, it's very dry where I live anyway, but my skin seems drier than usual. I think I'm not drinking enough water. Sleeve date: Oct. 15. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy
  4. I can't stand that flavorless stuff! Now I have a giant container and I don't want to use it. It's open, too, so I can't take it back. Sleeve date: Oct. 15. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy
  5. And no, I wasn't told about bending over, but it does hurt on occasion when I do, so I have been very careful. I hope everything is ok. Sleeve date: Oct. 15. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy
  6. I understand what you mean. I love pizza! My husband has been cooking whatever he wants while I'm on liquids. He had biscuits & gravy this morning. My mouth was watering as I drank my Protein shake. Last night we went to a banquet & it was difficult sticking to my Soup while everyone else was eating chicken, salad, cheese cake, and bread. I kept reminding myself that I will be able to eat real food soon & not to give up or give in. My husband said I wasn't missing much....that helped, too. Sleeve date: Oct. 15. 7. OK. You must try About Time. The birthday cake flavor is the best. It's a little pricy, but so worth it!!! Seriously! I posted about it in the nutrition, Protein shake thread. Their website is www.tryabouttime.com. They have free shipping & will send you samples! Sleeve date: Oct. 15. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy
  8. That's so awesome! Good for you for being so open minded! Sleeve date: Oct. 15. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy
  9. So, I went back to work & things are going really well. I can't yet work a full day, but I keep my Protein shake & Water by my side and drink as often as possible. I didn't get everything in because I was distracted with work, but I was just glad to have energy. I think I'll try to set a timer to remind me to drink. I did that math & to get in all of the water & the Protein Shake, I have to drink 3 oz. every hour. That doesn't sound like a lot, but when you consider my stomach only holds 1-2 oz. right now, then it's a lot. I also discovered today that my system does not like Chobani yogurt. That made me sad because I usually love it. I'll try again next week, but for now, I'm staying away from it. I have done ok with 4 oz. of strained egg drop Soup. Have a great Friday everyone! Sleeve date: Oct. 15. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy
  10. Yes, I'm a cancer survivor & my doctor recommended that I avoid large quantities of soy. Some is ok & the more natural the state, the better (like edemame). I look at every label. If soy is one of the first five ingredients, I won't eat it. Sleeve date: Oct. 15. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy
  11. I had my surgery on Oct. 15th & I was beginning to think I would just starve until I could finally eat real food. The Protein shake requirement was killing me because everything tasted terrible. Today I went to the health food store & asked what they recommended: About Time Protein shakes. They were $3 each, so I thought I'd try a couple. The first one I tried was Birthday Cake flavor. It tasted just like the birthday cake milkshakes I got at the convenience shop. I'm so glad I found this brand...now I can get in my protein without too much hassle. They have other flavors, too, which I haven't tried yet, but I will. I also mixed it with milk (lactaid) instead of Water. I didn't add anything else. And I don't work for them, either. I was just so excited to find something I liked that meets all the requirements. They have samples on their website: http://tryabouttime.com/ Sleeve date: Oct. 15. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy
  12. I was fairly nauseated today, too. I had to go to work today, and it took forever to get ready. Finally I got to work and I actually accomplished something. After eating my yogurt for lunch, though, I felt nauseated. I tried to drink my Protein Drink, but I just couldn't force it down. At home I drank a little bit of milk (lactaid), and I felt better. My doctor said that if I had the feeling that something was wrong, I should call him. I suggest calling your doctor's office in the morning and tell them what's going on. Maybe they'll have some suggestions or they can get you in before your appointment next week to look at your incision. That's my advice. Keep is posted. Sleeve date: Oct. 15.
