Okay Amy I took your idea about the personal thread, what a great idea. Ok well I got my pedi today with a friend of mine and it really helped me to relax. I didn't get the neon color I had talked about because my friend has breast cancer that went with me so I got the breast cancer pink on my toes for her. Then we spent the rest of the day together and it was great until I got ready to leave. She is the strongest person I know and has been through so much in her life but when she hugged me good bye she started to cry and then I started to cry. I told her I would be fine and not to worry and that I would be back before here next Chemo treatment. That was the first emotional breakdown I have had. Actually, I was only crying because she was crying, that's what good friends do right? Well anyway big girl panties are on and I am going to bed(or try anyway)so I can sleep for a few hours. I have to leave the house at 3:20am eastern time. I will keep u guys up on my journey as much as possible.

Glad Dennis is doing well. Glad u got to sit and eat. Does/did it hurt ur stomach when u eat anything?

U will love him and u will do great. I'm 8 days post op and I had Garcia. I am doing great.

If asked, would i do it again; I would do it agin in 2 seconds flat and not change a thing. I feel good. It just seems like I am focused all day on getting in all my fluid and protein. I'm doing pretty good with protein shakes. I'm getting in a minimum of 60 grams so far shooting for 74. However, I'm not getting in as much fluid. I am pushing to get in 24 oz a day. I got in 42 oz today but boy it was a struggle. I'm never hungry and can't tell when I'm full. VERY WEIRD!! It hurts my stomach a little to eat and it helps when I stand up to eat. Cream soups seem to be the easiest to get down but everyday gets better and better.

I have been losing 2 pounds a day since Tuesday. Hope I'm not jinxing myself lol.

Sorry I haven't posted in so long. I made it home safe and sound but what a long day of travel. We left hotel at 8 am and got home at 3:00 am well 12 am if u don't count the time change. Word from the wise: even if I think u r fine and don't need a wheel chair ( which we didn't ) GET ON IF U HAVE A CONNECTING FLIGHT WITH A SMALL WINDOW OF TIME BETWEEN FLIGHTS. We only had a 50 minute layover and if not for are wheel chair that where waiting on us we would have missed r next flight. They ran us threw the airport and we made are flight by 1 minute and I'm not exaggerating. I feel really bad for the 2 wheel chair pushers that ran with me and by friends big bodies thru the airport. Lol. So now that I have been home I have been very tired and having a really hard time eating or drinking. I did manage to get down 1 protein shake and 24oz of Gatorade yesterday and two protein shakes and 8 ounces of fluid so far today. I will get in more fluid b4 bed but I don't know how much. I am 12 pounds since pre op diet or just down 3 pounds since surgery. But I will take that.

Had a great day today. We went shopping at a place call Revolution. It was fun and if u like to haggle u can get stuff for cheap. We took a taxi from the hotel and it was $7.00 but we gave him $10.00 and when we were done he gave us his number and one of the shop owners called him for us. My friend wanted me to make sure I told everybody about how good the food was at the hospital. On the 4th floor by the elevator was a little kitchen and she said the food was great and very cheap. She also said that the kitchen/store was also great and cheap. The only thing is,they both close at 4 pm and are closed on weekends. When she would go get lunch she would order dinner and then go back down at 3:45pm and pick up her dinner. Dr. Luna came to the hotel and took are staples out today. It didn't hurt!!! He talked to us about getting in are protein and what kind is best. (Iso-pure from GNC).Then Rosie stopped by to see if we had any questions. We went down to the restaurant after she left and got a broth and mash potatoes. We took about 2 tbs of mash potato and chicken broth and made a thin soup out of it. It was so good. I have only got one bottle of peach flavored pedialyte in today. I'm trying to get in another bottle of power ade but I'm so full. Well we leave tomorrow Our plane leaves at 12:45pm and the time changes tonight so we r confused. Time does not change in Tijuana. They like to have at least 4 hour to cross the boarder. I hope it don't take us that long. So I will let u know how tomorrow goes.

It's allowed on ur toes. I head home tomorrow. Feeling great!

I'm back at the hotel now. Had some great broth that I could only eat 3/4 of. Had a Popsicle that I couldn't finish either. The drain tube coming out didn't hurt. When she went to pull it out I freaked out for a second and started hollowing STOP STOP STOP and then my friends busted out laughing and told me it was done already. So it really doesn't hurt. The staples will come out tomorrow so I will let u know how that goes. I know now why fellow sleevers don't post so much after surgery. Sorry I have not been posting to much but 1st day was bad and 2nd day was better but not great and the 3rd day WOW I FEEL GREAT. Not hungry but I am thirsty. I got to meet SChavez b4 surgery. I also talked to Jay1234 he is here at the hotel. Well fixing to go get some more chicken or beef broth.

Good luck I was sleeved by Garcia on the 6th. U will love him and all of his staff.

I asked to leave work about 15 minutes early today before something crazy happened or we got some crazy parent phone call (I work for a school system).They told me that I wasn't doing them any good anyway because I was so excited and to take my big smile and leave. All the lady's took me to lunch today(Salad with grilled chicken of course) it was sweet. They all also hugged me as I left and wished me good luck. I did leave with the biggest smile on my face and reality really sunk in that this was really happening. I started cleaning my house and packing as soon as I walked in my door today even know I don't fly out till Tuesday. I took Monday off so I could pack but its almost all done. I'm still smiling!!!!

Feeling lots better today but not great. Got a shower and that was great. Yes Dr Luna is a cutie Amy. Glad u made it home safe. Gas pain sucks. Threw up well tried a few times last night. That hurt. Got the hiccup THAT REALLY HURT. Caughing a lot from surgery junk in my lungs I guess. Still have nothing bad to say about the staff. The are awesome.

Sorry it took me so look to check in but yesterday was ruff and I was the 1st surgery of the day. We ran a little late because dr Garcia got a flat on the way to the hospital. Just to let everybody know,I didn't see any naked people and dr Luna had read my post and asked me about my neon toes. Lol I said u read are post and he said yes. He said he would not let any patients see me naked lol. U con't ask for better car. There has been just a little problem with the language barrier but not bad. I will post more later.
