Self Pay But Now So Confused

I paid 4500 in MX with Dr Lopez, through A Lighter Me. I would do it all over again too! Mine was 10-10-2012. I got a credit card here snd charged most of it! Best of luck!
  3. Well, they do an xray leak test prior to release in MX. I saw my blue liquid go all the way down and my new tummy was secure. I follow my post-op diet to keep it that way. It's hard to get everything they want me to have in! Slow and steady wins the race!!!
  4. You can text on Kik for free. Wifi in the hotel was very bad for me. Couldn't get my laptop to work every time. Turn roaming off!!! The wifi in the hospital was great, and they will let you get calls:) I think I even called home after surgery. You could get a throw away phone to use while there. Roaming is super bad!!! Turn it offffff

    Safety In Tijuana, Mx

Your trip home will be fine... The gas will bug you the most. We spent 8 hrs in the car, instead of four! Traffic was horrific. I was just fine. My friends had to fly... One to Fl and the other to WI. They both had a great trip home!! I even met a woman from S Africa! Best of luck

    What Vitamins Do You Take?

Isotonix powder is great too. I put it in water in the morning. Tastes good.

    Water

Thank you. It's light yellow, so I think I'm ok. Just trying hard to get my water in and not get a leak!!

    Water

I'm 10 days out, having a rough time getting my Water in. Is drinking 4 oz every 15 minutes too much, or is it ok? So scared of a leak!!

Anyone Have Suggestions For A Liquid Diet?

Thai lemongrass broth, or the Tom Kha strained is yummy for a switch up. Sweet doesn't taste so good to me anymore.
  10. Oops, one more thing! The night nurses spoke less English than the day nurses. There is wifi in the Hospital, so I downloaded the app iTranslate. It was wonderful!! It helped me and them. Just a thought. Ice is pronounced "yallo" and a GREAT ond to know. Heehee. Getting to the bathroom and showers is a breeze. I really think Mi Hospital is cleaner than our hospital's here.
  11. I took the train down to San Diego on 10-9-2012, and was picked up by Abraham, with A Lighter Me. I stayed at the Marriott that night. The popcicles and Soup are horrific, so bring your own! Trust me!!! My Coordinator was the lovely Janese. I swear that woman is sn angel undercover!! I had surgery 10-10-12 with Dr Lopez and his wife at Mi hospital. They are very professional, organized, and Thorough. The Hospital is very clean, so don't worry about that rumor. I went alone, but met three amazing women from all over the Country, and we bonded like sisters. I was lucky enough to share my room with one of my new sleeve sisters, which made it fly by. I was the last surgery of my group, and was very nervous. When I woke up I felt pretty darn good. I was in complete and total shock! The gas bugged the four of us the most. My roomy and I could barely stay awake afterward, so we didn't walk enough. Walking is the most important thing you can do!!! We asked to be taken off pain meds at that point, so they just gave us Toradol. I did one week of clear liquid... Just started full liquid this Wed, it is much harder than I'd expected. It is difficult to get my Protein drinks and my Water in. I have only been able to get up to about 48 oz of water. I used to drink nearly 100 oz, so this is hard on me. pudding made me sick, so that was a no go:( My swelling is going down, which makes me feel better, I look less like a watermelon than I did. I have only lost about 5 pounds post op, which is a little upsetting, even gained one back somehow. Just trying to stay positive and realize my body is in shock, attempting to heal, and more than likely squirreling away my water:) One more thing... I was born and raised in CA. My friends and I have been going to Mexico since before we were the legal drinking age. Mexico is full of lovely people. Just like any Country, there are bad eggs. You will not be far from the border, and Abraham will drive you wherever you want to go. He took us shopping, out for soup, etc. Always be smart and aware in ANY foreign Country. Leave your bling at home. Eduardo is the other Coordinator that will care for you in Mexico. These guys are top notch, and make sure you have everything, whether you think you need it or not. PS- Eduardo always smells so good, so you know when he's around. Ordered the Cologne for my hubby it was so good! Total side bar, sorry. I would do it all over again the exact same way, I felt very safe there. Any questions, please ask.
  12. Hi Rox! It's me in Bako:) I'm still super gassy, and my BM's are liquidy and dark too. There is no such thing as TMI on here! We need the honesty and the support! I'm bloated too. Wonder when that will all get better?
  13. I had my surgery in Mexico 7 days ago today. I also have a small child, and was terrified. I was surprised by how good I felt when I woke up. The gas in my belly buggedme the most. Try to walk a lot, it really helps.
