  1. Keep in mind she used to do BBW porn and that is how her husband met her. Yes he's a total jerk but he obviously has a strong preference for large women.
  2. Ok I was looking into Munchausen disorder and I think she agreed to have the operation to be on TV. Because there's nothing they love more than to get attention for their illnesses.
  3. I agree with the Munchhausen theory. On her FB page she a thinner photo of her face but she still is on oxygen. Who is paying for the oxygen? We are.
  4. They had people donate money to them. I bet there are a lot of angry people. People are ripping her apart on her FB page.
  5. I really think she needs to be left alone with a walker and food that is good for her in another room. She would have to get everything herself.
  6. My first surgeon required nut visit, psych eval, EKG. I changed hospitals and I have to get a nurse assessment, another psych eval and a nut visit. I don't have high BP or any other issues so I didn't need sleep eval or stress test. I think they also want a diabetes blood test but I had that in the hospital a few months ago.
  7. Anyone see this last night? Unbelievable!
  8. I know but I have been excited and been let down SO many times that it's hard to let myself dream.
  9. Thank you so much. I have to say ok getting WLS surgery brain again. This is a good and bad thing. Good because the process is moving but bad because I get spacey and can't concentrate at work thinking about the possibilities.
  10. My three hours of appointments including a third psych eval are on Monday!
  11. How do you know they want you for the ego boost? I'm just curious.
  12. I called and the person said I needed to talk to my coordinator about the next steps. Coordinator emailed me to call her so I left a voice mail. She said that I needed to get an assessment. I don't know what that is. I've already done all the testing, is it maybe a prescreen before going to a consult?
  13. I'm really scared right now.
  14. I'm thinking of going to Mexico but I just don't know how. We are getting a big tax return but we have so many bills we could spend it on. Sigh. Good for you, I'm glad that you got yours finally. How was your experience in Mexico?
  15. Six to seven months? Why so long?
  16. I think you are so right. When I first graduated from college I couldn't find a job but I didn't want to move back with my abusive father. I ended up working part time jobs and was on food stamps. It was humiliating. It changed my relationship with food not knowing if I would be able to feed myself. I bought a lot of junk and empty calories, it was like deep down I thought if I gained weight I could never starve.
  17. I'm having to restart with a new hospital after two years of trying to get approved and going through three appeals. I submitted my packet last Monday and talked to my coordinator Friday who said that she was going to review everything and then call me to set up my appointments. They haven't called. I'm just wondering if something is wrong, if they don't think I'm a good candidate or is this normal? I just want to know either way but I don't want to bug them so much that they think I'm crazy.
  18. I too am a survivor of child hood sexual abuse. I have a history of binge eating and ended up with a husband who was emotionally abusive. You are very brave for having the surgery and for telling your story. My heart goes out to you. Have you gone to therapy at all?
  19. Good for you!! Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm pre op and I usually get entree and a soda. My husband is the same way. We have actually had wait staff give us attitude when they find out how little our tab is going to be. I'm just wondering how to handle that when I'm even eating less?
  20. Anyone else? How did you get through it? I feel like I'm in a continual wait. Right now I have approval after three appeals but have to start over with a new hospital and new surgeon. Right now I need shoes and pants but I don't want to spend money on things that aren't going to fit me. I feel like I'm just waiting for a new life not knowing if it will ever come. It's like I can't move forward but I can't move backwards. I can't stop trying.
  21. Well I'm pre op so I think that's the problem! I can't wait to get my sleeve.
