  1. It took me two hours to drink 15 ounces of muscle milk. It's tiring! I just put unflavored protein powder in some broth. I put in way too much the first time. The second time it was actually really good.
  2. No you shouldn't! Good luck to everyone!
  3. There are sick people who join sites and pretend to have the same issues and then spin really unbelievable stories; then feel great when people believe them. It's very common on pregnancy boards. It's also common on boards for people dealing with infidelity in a marriage. I've seen a few posts that made me go "huuuuh????" on here.
  4. Thanks, I am just glad I can sip without feeling like I want to burp every single time!
  5. I find it hard to believe but ok. I think that when you have major surgery you need to be very careful. Your body is dealing with anesthesia, which is tough for some. Even with expert pain management, the truth is that you either had your innards rearranged or a big part cut out. It's not like going to get a hair cut. I was happy to have nurses who monitored me and were there in case of complications. Not to mention there is no physical way you could get in enough Fluid the first day without an IV, much less while walking five miles in the heat. You would be so weak from the liquid diet and not being able to get much down.
  6. Are there mods who can help get rid of trolls?
  7. Thank you! I am down 10 pounds since surgery on Tuesday. This is just unreal. Plus fifteen before that since my consult. For some reason I can't get my wedding ring off still.
  8. Thank god it seems like suddenly I can take small sips and it just goes down without the burping and growling! I fell asleep for four hours and woke up feeling a lot better. I'm going to try gas X tomorrow! I just get frustrated reading about people who had no issues like they just went in to get their teeth cleaned.
  9. Thank you. I really am sick of the pain, it's enough already. I just would like to take one little drink without burping.
  10. Guys I need help. I am in the worst mood, my incision sites hurt, every time I drink an ounce I burp and feel like my stomach is growling like crazy. When I take oxy it knocks me out and I can't be in bed all day or I won't get in enough Fluid and Protein. Right now I feel like ripping someone's head off. Is this normal? Surgery was Tuesday. When does the burping and growling stop???
  11. Haven't had one in four days, but I don't feel like I need to either. I had surgery on Tuesday, is that normal when you are only getting fluids in?
  12. It was at the hospital, not outpatient.
  13. What was yours like? I didn't like mine at all, I felt like a cow in a barn. There were like forty people in this huge room and I was in a lot of pain, they took a long time to get to me. It just didn't seem professional.
  14. You are a gorgeous woman in both! I can see the difference.
  15. Keep trying to get that water in! Good to hear you are doing well.
  16. Thanks! My neck hurts so bad! I think from laying down so much. I'm trying to stretch and use ice.
  17. I got some looks too. I think I was the smallest person at my pre-op class and in some of the support groups. Don't let it get you down. If anyone asked why I was there I would just say "same as you!" We can't all have a BMI of 55 for gods sake! That's just crazy.
  18. That is rude! What is your BMI?
  19. Just got home and I'm down five more pounds since day of surgery.
  20. Getting discharged!
  21. My husband is wonderful, too! I'm about to leave. Thank god!
  22. I think I'm about to be discharged!!!
