  1. Congrats! Hope you have a quick recovery.
  2. Things that go down easy, without pain, but have high fat/calories that your body will still absorb (ex: like ice cream, which is my downfall) or high sugar drinks, etc.
  3. I've been drinking herbalife shakes w/ extra protein for breakfast for at least a year now and plan to stick with it because it's the only shake I like and comes in a lot of different flavors. I'm trying to start my exercise regime now, which includes zumba, yoga and lots of walking. I'm buying draw string pants that I can wear for awhile as I drop sizes because I don't want to spend a ton of money on new clothes until I near goal. I'm hoping to find a clothing exchange program in my area...or maybe I'll start on
  4. Thank you. I've done so much research on the different WLS and have spoken to and read so many blogs, I know what I'm getting into and I'm ready for it. Good luck to you as well!
  5. Congrats! Can't wait until my clothes get too big..
  6. Good luck! Hope to hear about your victories soon.

I to am just starting my journey. I have finished all my pre-op testing and now am just waiting for my surgery on 12/19/12. I've told several girls I work with and they are all very supportive and understand why I'm doing it; my husband, however, is a different story. He loves me the way I am, and is afraid of the "dying on the table" risk, but he also understands why I'm doing it. After all, if he loves me that much he should want me around longer right? lol Just remember you are doing this for YOU, not anyone else. Keep your eye on the prize and you'll get there for sure. Anyway, good luck on your journey and can't wait to hear about your victories..

  10. Hi everyone, I've just finished all my prerequisites for my VSG and am so excited for my surgery in December. Hope to find some friends that are going through the same journey I am that I can share victories with as well as vent when needed. I wish everyone the best of luck in their journey and can't wait to start posting my own victories soon.
