I went to mexico for my surgery but I asked my doctor and he did the test where i drink that white stuff and they take xrays. and everything was good. 4. i can only eat less than an ounce then it hurts. If i eat more I will throw up the last bite i take.
  5. no I only drink water or sugarfree SoBe life water so I am not drinking my calories. I just put my daily intake in myfitness pal and OMG i need a change!! I have to start over!! I think I may go on liquids for a week or so then start on proteins only! I got stuck eating the slider foods because I was getting sick with the proteins and the slider foods are easier to eat as we all know but I still have 110 lbs to lose and I AM going to lose them!
  6. I am 8 months post op and I for the pass 2 months I am stuck!!!! Since the middle of August i have only lost like 10 lbs!! I gain weight then I lose it. I know it is because I am eating too many carbs and slider foods. I need ideas for snacks! or should I just cut them out all together? I am eating laughing cow cheese with the flat pretzels or stacy pita chips, peanut butter, protein bars, pork rinds, greek yogurt and crackers. For breakfast i drink a protein shake, lunch tuna fish and crackers or soup, dinner some type of protein. But I eat two maybe three snacks a day. I walk 5 days a week for 40 minutes. I need help!!!
  7. I don't know if it is only sold locally or not (i live in new orleans) but I like CDM decaf and Community. Both have chicory which gives it that bold flavor.
  8. my pre op diet was two protein shakes and a low carb dinner. I did not have to do full liquids until three days before surgery. I am not sure what your pre op diet is, but it seems to me that everyone's is different. So my suggestion to you is go to the wedding and the dinner have fun don't go over board. Try to leave the carbs alone. Good luck!

  10. I had surgery Feb 8th. I had crawfish good friday and now i eat them about once a week. For Good Friday i was only able to eat 7!!! now i can eat about 15. Had some tonight for dinner
  11. i am sorry you are going thru this however, if you read the threads it is very common. Your husband sees the changes that you are making and it is making him uncomfortable. My husband had the surgery with me but before surgery he used to say "yeah you are going to get skinny to find a new man." "He was teasing, of course" but I think that was a concern of his. Then one day he said it and I said My new man is in the making with me as i become a new woman. It shut him up and he never said that again. I think in your case your husband is just scared that you are going to get all hot and sexy and drop him. You have to make him understand that you love him and only him and you are not going to leave.
  12. i lost 40 lbs in 4 months by drinking one protein shake in the morning around 10 a greek yogurt, a protein shake at lunch, around 3 a protein bar then a low carb dinner. good luck!!
  13. i am almost three months out and i tried a pickle over the weekend and it was a brick in my stomach. It was like i could not chew it enough. And to top it off just a 1/2 of a pickle and i retained fluid! So needless to say i wont be eating pickles anytime soon. I am amazed that your new stomach allowed you to eat fish, broccoli, and pickles! You are going to be one of those people with a sleeve of steel. Please be careful with your newborn stomach. Follow your doctor's orders.
  14. i am about three months out and i get the soup at sub way
  15. i was sleeved on 2/8/2013. I started at 390 lbs and i am 33 years old and 5'1. I have fought the weight battle my WHOLE life. Getting the sleeve is NOT the easy way out! You have to work hard! The sleeve is a tool that helps the process along. If you do not change your eating you will not lose weight. With the sleeve honestly it is easier to eat the "crap" foods like ice cream or candy cause they go down easier but you have to make the choice to eat healthly. It is hard work trying to get in all your protein making sure you are drinking enough water and not eating too many carbs etc...All the sleeve does is limit the amount of foods you eat and in some cases (including mine) limits the type of foods. It is your hard work and choices that help you lose the weight! Because i could VERY VERY easily eat 3000 calories a day sleeved eating slider "crap" foods and not lose a pound. So that is what you tell people that say its the easy way out!!
  16. i was on a plane from Cali to new orleans 5 days after my surgery. My docts said just make sure i move around on the plane every 1/2 hour or so i do not get blood clots. I did not even have a 6 week visit (i had it done in mexico). I would check with your doctor just to be sure but i think you will be fine
  17. congrats!! you look wonderful!! and I wish you a Life time of true happiness and love with your new man!!
  18. I am in new orleans flew united and it was just under 500 a ticket with a lay over in texas

  21. you look WONDERFUL!! Keep it up!!
  22. tacobell is my go to fast food place. Everyone laughs at me because i used to say the only time i eat taco bell is 3 in the morning drunk and nothing else is open hahaha. But i get the refired beans and a plan taco with nothing on it. take the meat from the taco ad it to the refired beans with some cheese. Its pretty good cant have it often tho cause its like a brick in the stomach.
  23. you must have a sleeve of steal!! I am 7 weeks and I still can not eat a whole large egg. I can not eat chicken unless it is chicken salad and I can only eat about 2 ounces of food at a time. I tried bread and rice once and threw them up and felt like i was going to die! But i would be careful with what you eat this early out. you do not want to have foods that caused you to get teh sleeve in the first place.
  24. when and where did you have your surgery?
  25. I am out with my family right now and both my husband and I had the surgery do we split a smoked trout dish I had two bites and I am on the restroom. I feel like it is stuck and I want to throw up! I hope this passes soon! My husband does not have any issues which is even more grrrrr
