  1. I was sleeved on March 25th down 31 pounds...... still having problems with head hunger vs real hunger vs thirst.......... I was not one of the lucky ones that feels nooooo hunger at all... I still feel it. It is not a fraction of hunger before surgery , but it is still there......
  2. I still get hungry too ! I don't regret the surgery because I can only eat a few ounces at a time and I have lost a lot of weight and I don't obsess about food the way I did all my life. However, I can sympathize with you. I still feel hungry sometimes, and I have to eat some form of Protein.
  3. JolieBug You and I had same surgery date. I am going through it as you are, cutting back on meds, naps, I would love to sleep on my stomach. Have you moved to full liquids yet, I mean protein shakes, cream soup ?
  4. My surgery was on the 25th also, first day back home today. I am up 5 pounds. I think it is the IVs.
  5. I think 19 is a great age..... I wish I would have done this surgery a long time ago, instead of waiting until 43 years of age ! you will do just fine, don't be nervous...... Started my pre-op liquid diet today, trying to stay motivated because my surgery is on Monday March 25th... we are having freezing rain sunday night into monday morning..... I guess I will have to slip and slide into surgery !!!
  6. I had my pre-op March 4th... I was there all together an hour... I had blood work...... chest x-ray.... and an EKG...... all came back fine except for low level of vitamin D and low blood sugar because I fasted that morning and I guess you did not have to... when you go in for your testing just relax and you should be fine... Just think, It can't be any worse than the corney Psychologist visit.. that was wierd to me having a stranger talk about my weight problem like she knew what I was going through ?!? You will be fine.. my surgery is March 25th a day before yours ! I can't wait.. bring on the gas !!!!
  7. You "Sleeved" March Madness Sleevers are doing sooooooooooooooo awesome !!! you seem so motivated to get through the gas and get on with your beautiful new life.... so inspiring !!!!! I can't wait to have gas :D one week to go before gas !!!!
  8. Well it sounds like we are all ready for our March Madness Surgeries !!!! I hope we can keep each other posted on how we are doing, because we will be going through things at the same time. Good luck to All !
  9. You will get that call soon !!! It just depends on how fast everyone in the office is moving to set up new dates... I know that knowing the exact date of surgery does help to take off some of the pressure off , Good Luck !!!!
  10. Hello, I do have a March surgery date... I have been jumping through hoops since the beginning of last summer, and I only have two more hoops to jump through, pre surgery testing and finding new primary care physician.... sooooo it is the final countdown for me You will get there soon too and then you can sigh in relief as I did when I finally got my surgery date.
  11. Sorry mzrich my fault the thread got off track..... You know in my family when someone had heart burn or was gassy... my mom used to make them drink herbal "Mint Tea" . Maybe that would help you if you sipped some Mint Tea.
  12. Good to know ... I have been overweight since birth.... don't know what it feels like not feel hungry all of the time.... a "different kind of hungry" is a welcomed change for me... Thanks for your insight everyone.
  13. Hi Everyone I am still Pre-op.... just a question. The surgeon said that part of the stomach removed contained hormones that triggered hunger. so you are not feeling hungry all the time like I am now... is he exaggerating ????
