  1. That's awesome! Thanks for posting this. I'm four months out and haven't lost anything in over a month. Sometimes I wonder if this will fail too. I especially like how you said to have goals. I'm going to start that and get my butt in gear! Congrats on your success and I can't wait to be where you are.

The meatballs I made were delish! I sauteed 1 onion and 3 garlic cloves chopped with chopped fresh parsley, added 1/4 cup of cooking sherry and let that reduce then cool Put the mixture in one pound of ground beef with one egg, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning, pepper, and thyme I put two pieces of whole wheat bread in the food processor and added that to the meat and mixed it all together. Made them into balls and baked at 375 for 15 minutes.

Does anyone have a good meatball recipe?
  6. I will never understand why people are so concerned with who other people are telling about this surgery. I mean, who gives a hoot? If you want to tell people, great! If you don't, who cares?!? Why are they being called a liar? If you had surgery to fix your hemorrhoids, would you tell everyone? Good for you!
  7. Only twice have I wished I could eat more. First time was a salad from Jason's deli and second was BBQ from the salt lick. But it wasn't the end of the world. I've never regretted the surgery.
  8. Lol at sending hate mail. People really get that worked up? I think some people just take this way too seriously. If someone disagrees about the smallest thing or make a suggestion the poster doesn't want to hear, they get all bent out of shape. It doesn't bother me and I won't be run off because of it.
  9. I have a huge family and I will see all of them this weekend at my brother's wedding. I'm nervous my surgery will be the topic of discussion. They are all fit and never had weight problems. Word spreads fast in my family and I hope they are all supportive. I'll let you know how it goes!

I got my sleeve done in MX so didn't know if we needed it short term or long term. I guess I will start them again.

Does everyone with the sleeve have to take iron?
  12. B12 gives you energy, do you have trouble sleeping? I take multi and b12 in morning and calcium at night.
  13. *sneaks into vets room* Oh hush Gman, you look great! *runs out!*
  14. I love that dress! You look amazing!
  15. I've been stalled on the scale for a month! I've lost a pant size though and I've never been this size in my adult life. So, the number on the scale can kiss my behind! I am so thrilled with my success so far!
  16. Lucky! I'll never weigh less than my husband's skinny ass! Congratulations!
  17. Wow you look great! Now let's see a smile! Lol congratulations!
  18. Oh man, this brought back so many memories! I'm only four months out and have absolutely no desire to do that when it was something I'd do on the regular. Be excited for your new life coming soon!
  19. Omg! I didn't even notice the stacked grilled cheeseburger!
  20. Lol at loaded nuggets! We really are doomed!
  21. That was an excellent explanation, PDX!
  22. I think you should do it when you are 100% ready. 100% ready to follow docs orders and have control. I'm 5'9 and 240 pounds. I would have surgery if this were my starting weight. I was so ready for this surgery though. I researched like crazy, not just about the surgery, but on how to eat and be healthy as well. I've had no problems with self control after surgery and haven't missed eating like I used to. I've done great actually. I'm four months out and this is just my way of life now. I eat because I have to, not for entertainment anymore.
  23. This episode has come on 3 times and I still haven't seen the first 30 minutes!
  24. Ok you get the British version and I'll take the country boy. He's British, right?
