  1. Ahhh yes I have been swishing my mouth with water too. And you're right! I'm not looking forward to the constipation
  2. I had my surgery this morning and couldn't be happier. The pain is really not as bad as I expected it to be. I had no complications or problems. It took them 30 min to find a vein but that's not a big deal. I got up and walked today and it felt great! The only bummer is my mouth is EXTREMELY dry due to the anesthesia. I couldn't have any Water today so I just got a moist washcloth and put on my lips/tongue. I am a bit gassy which makes my stomach kinda hurt but that's to be expected. They made 5 incision sites and they look like they will heal into a small scar. Yay The pain medicine I am taking works wonders and knocks me out every time. I am feeling rested and hopefully I can leave tomorrow morning!
  3. Hi there! I HIGHLY suggest waiting to get pregnant until you have dropped all of the weight. It is extremely dangerous for your baby while you are losing weight at a rapid pace
  4. Wow! Good luck to you. My surgeon only requires me to have a liquid diet of 5 days pre-op. I couldn't imagine 2 weeks
  5. I would definitely see your doctor ASAP
  6. Mine is tomorrow morning!
  7. I am 24 years old and have struggled with my weight since I was in the 2nd grade. I was raised on happy meals and diet soda. I struggled with an eating disorder in high school because I felt 'fat' next to my friends. I weighed a healthy 150 at 5'6. I now think back and wish I never even started my unhealthy eating habits. At my highest weight, 257 lbs, I decided to look at the Gastric Sleeve surgery. A friend of mine did it and had amazing results. On Wednesday, I will be having my surgery. The past several days on my pre-op diet have been extremely tough. I'm used to eating what I want and when I want it. Unfortunately, my fiancé eats what he wants, usually fast food. He wants to be supportive but is having a hard time changing his eating habits. I have lost 11 lbs since Friday morning (9/28) and I am extremely happy with my decision to have the surgery. I know the journey is just beginning but I am definitely ready for a healthy new start!
