  1. I had mine done 10/11/12 in Stratford by Dr. Fakolujo, who is doing yours?
  2. Good luck! Just remember to walk asap.
  3. I use gas x strips and they really help, but is the need for them going to end. Is the embarrassing stomach rumbling eventually going to stop? I'm only 5 days out but it's driving me crazy
  4. I was told liquid in, liquid out and I have been drinking.
  5. Thanks! I see you were sleeved 10/4. How are you feeling? Does the gas and trouble drinking get better soon? That is my only issue besides no BM yet.
  6. Ok, how long after surgery did you have a bowel movement. My surgery was 10/11 and nothing yet.
  7. I had the surgery 10/11/12. I only need to lose around 55-60 pounds. I'm tired if losing and gaining it back. I'm hoping this will help me keep it off. I have been fighting this since puberty and now at 47, I'm tired of the fight. I have always been a "healthy" heavy girl but the last year, my cholesterol and sugars have been creeping up. I did it for health reasons mainly but i can't lie, cute clothes are in my future! You do what's best for you!!
  8. I have taken them since day 2 post op with no problem.
  9. What is the belly band? I was sleeved on 10/11. I don't have any kind of band. My belly is sore but nothing too bad.
  10. I'm three days out and today the swallowing pain is much better. Incisions don't hurt, just tender which is to be expected. Just got my nails done, took a walk now going to watch football while I drink my egg drop broth.
  11. I don't care who knows. If they don't like it or think I shouldn't have done it, that's their opinion. Doesn't bother me. The only person I didn't tell was a good friend who struggles with a lot of health issues which have made her own weight a problem and surgery is not an option for her. I just feel bad talking about that touchy subject with her. She lives in another part of the country so she doesn't need to watch my weight loss and feel left out.
  12. I'm two days out and having pain swallowing too. I'm doing my best with fluids but it isn't easy. I'm hoping tomorrow will be a turning point because other than that, I'm good. Hope the same for you.
  13. Thanks, hope you're feeling better. I am using gas ex but it is definitely the swallowing. Its seconds after i take a sip. I do think the blowing air out of my nose before swallowing does help somewhat. That's a tip someone posted!
  14. No hernia repair. Just feel liked its sitting at the top of my stomach. Warm fluids much better than cold but still hurts. Hopefully it won't last long. Really trying to get my fluids in!
  15. I'm day 2 post sleeve and having terrible pain in stomach after swallowing even with just sipping. Anybody go through that? How long did it last??
  16. Oh and no pain meds i don't like how they make me feel and i don't really need them
  17. Had sleeve yesterday, home today. Feel good although I do have some gas, trying to walk a lot I did get up right away in the hospital and walked every two hours I did a few laps. Drinking is a little tough, defiantly need to sip slowly! All in all, not bad. I'm a happy girl except for the six pounds I gained from all the fluids in the hospital. UGH
  18. I'm officially post op today. Surgery was 8:00am, was up and walking by 2:30pm. Yay! No pain, just a little sore and mild nausea. Getting meds for nausea, just dealing with the soreness, hate pain meds. So far so good
  19. They said something about not breaking down well. They aren't in your smaller stomach long enough to break them down
  20. My date is October 11th, can't wait!
  21. I was also told to never take gummie vitamins.
  22. My doctor said to take Flintstone complete, it has to be complete.
  23. My surgery if next Thursday...yay! How do you feel?
  24. I didn't realize how many carbs it has until I got it home. Did you have any issue with that?
