  1. I am scheduled for surgery November 6th. My biggest fear is complications......I have had spine surgery and a hysterectomy so I am no stranger to PAIN....the thought of a complication just freaks me out. I found this on an obesity surgical center's website in the patient info section. I brought me comfort.... Possible Complications Gastric Sleeve (gastrectomy) complications are relatively rare and when they occur most likely it is during or very shortly after the procedure. These are generally not life threatening and can be managed safely either surgically or non-surgically. .

  4. i caved again, a can of refried beans and some ramen noodles last night.....boo! today is my last day for protein, tomorrow just liquid then surgery. Hopefully I didnt screw myself! The weight is pouring off me still!

  9. Doesnt matter what other ppl notice or dont notice...its if you notice and how you feel about yourself. You look great. Comparing your before pic to your profile pic, there is a huge difference. All that matters is how you feel about yourself and all that goodness will shine out. I am scheduled November 6th....scared as hell! but I have to do this to save my life. God Bless Kim
  10. How is everyone feeling? Nervous? Excited? What thought is consuming your brain today.........mine is I hope my LIVER SHRUNK ENOUGH....I was supposed to start my pre-op clears and Protein on Tuesday, but didnt start until Thursday!!!!!! I have to say the last 2 weeks I have been supplimenting Protein shakes for meals to get used to not eating much.I also have lost 33 lbs since August..........but Wed the office took me out for my "so called" last lunch....... It gets worse.......Yesterday, Friday only my second day in I had a package of ramen noodles.......I was going crazy!!!! I lost total control.......i know its down to the wire and I wont make anymore mistakes....but am I the only one? I guess I will find out if my liver is shrunk enough on Tuesday morning...... What are your thoughts.......

  15. Hi, I will find you on MFP, Love that site, have been using it since August, have lost 30 lbs. Scheduled for my sleeve November 6th, only a week away, I start my LD tomorrow. I am 43, married with 2 dogs and a cat. I work for the Coast Guard at Selfridge ANGB in Michigan. I have some army friends...where r u from? Kim

  18. Howdy Folks, I am 1 week away from my surgery...November 6th! I am so dam excited and scared to death at the same time. I have lost 30 lbs since starting this journey in late July 2012. I have an excellent medical team just dont want any complications....... I live in ST Clair Michigan, I work as a Certified Medical Assistant for the United States Coast Guard at Selfridge ANGB in Harrison Twp Mi. I have 2 dogs, 1 crazy cat and a wonderful supportive husband. My medical team has me on clear liquids and protein one week prior to surgery...not so bad! Good luck November sleeve siblings......I am naming my sleeve, my first choice is Sleevie Nicks or the Sleeve miller band, Sleevie Wonder, Hurricane Sleevie....I welcome any creative name ideas. take care and PLEASE keep in touch.

  21. You will feel better soon, its just going to take time, you have to remind yourself of that. YOu seem like a real go getter.....so settle down tiger.....LOL.   22. OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am scheduled November 6th.........a complication to me is clots, infection and leaks.......I think I can cope with anything else..........Hope I dont vomit tho, I hate vomiting!
  23. You cant beat yourself up for one cookie...you are human! If you really only had one cookie then big deal! Just dont eat anymore...if you went for a 15 min walk the cookie calories would be gone!
