Low BMI Sleevers?
I believe it's just like any time anyone loses. The closer are to your perfect weight goal the slower it comes off. We all know how hard it is to lose the last dreaded 10 pounds.. meaning the less weight you have on your body the harder your body tries to hold on to it. Hence low bmi'ers loses slower

Need a fake surgery, dont want the little league moms to know
I understand completely. Some are ok with telling orhers and for others it's way out of their comfort level. Why that is.. no clue. We're just all different. Tell them what you want and be ok with it.

Governor Chris Christie and the Lap-Band
It's an opinion.. nothing more nothing less. Don't let such things bother you.. not worth it

Pill sizes...what is OK?
I took my normal meds immediately, too. All surgeons are different, but im assuming its only for a few days or a week or so while the swellig goes down

Governor Chris Christie and the Lap-Band
Yes.. its about the gov. And some are explaining their votes. Hence the option of responding and not just voting

Governor Chris Christie and the Lap-Band
If you are insinuating that I am bashing anyone you are gravely mistaken. W I certainly don't recall Alex asking for just positive responses towards the lapband. If comments tend to bother you or upset you, perhaps it's time for you to take a break from the forum or just not read a particular post.

Governor Chris Christie and the Lap-Band
Although, I'm a hardheaded advocate for banning the lap band... To each his own. If the gov is fortunate to escape the deadly complications the band can cause and continues to have good eight loss good for him! Great job! I just don't see him losing much lately and I hope he hasn't learned to eat around the band like so may failures have done. I wish him luck and much success

Dr. suggests to remove my band for a sleeve. I'm cautious. Pls help.
I went into this surgery knowing and completely comprehending that this was the final thing I could do for weightloss. I didn't give myself the option of failing. I couldn't. I honestly.. truly believe that if you enter into something with options you give yourself excuses. You can do it it.. good luck

Looking for my teen. Acevez, Alvarez, Kelly and Ariel Ortiz?
Search your surgeons names on the forum and you will be able to read all about the surgeons you're considering

Complications ?
Most of the side effects are normal regardless of whether it was band to sleeve or just sleeve. Just be prepared that there's a possibility your surgery will have to be done in 2 separate surgeries. If that does happen be thankful that your dr is making the right decision. He knows best

You're on full liquids... for a reason. No.. no cheese stick or other non full liquids. Were you aware of this stage prior to surgery and not prepared? Get your head into the game of succeeding or yes, you will fail. For your safety you have to follow the prescribed diet.

Circumferential Body Lift Done 12/6
I have been reading here and never did anyone get on the ol soap box and start anything other than adding an additional opinion. Lighten up people. As for the states vs mx.. you can find awesome surgeons in both and you can find awful surgeons in both.

Do you have a favorite food as a "sleever?"
Pre-op I hated cottage cheese and now I can't get enough. Darigold pineapple cottage cheese mixed with black cherry Greek yogurt... I could live off it!

best haircut when your hair falls out?
Don't do anything unless you have to do it. It's doubtful you'll need to get a new cut, but if you do it will depend on your hair loss pattern. Wait it out.. I swore up and down I was going bald, but no one ever noticed.. Except for the hair balls in the trash

Baja Bariatrics is the only way to go in Tijuana
No, not at all. I'm saying to rely solely on what a member posts in their one and only post should most likely be taken lightly. If you do your research properly you will fine the best surgeon for yourself.

When did you stop losing?
You need to adjust your calorie intake until you notice a loss. You're most likely making your body go into stsrvation mode. Its not going to give up anythibg if it thinks you're starving. Also.. I went through a 7 week stall.. it just happens sometimes. But dont starve.. change

The sleeve has made me a snacker.
I eat all day long also. . But then I did before too. The difference is I dont snack on crap food. I try to have only good things around or at least low fructose fruit

Ate chicken noodle at 3 weeks
Aaron.. I believe you're one of the few exception to the norm of us WLS people. You're not only a guy, but you're a young guy and things are going to work a whole lot different for you than most everyone here. Cheating doesn't work well if we want to change for the better lifestyle we desire. Most of us have to change completely or this WLS will fail just like all the other things we tried. I refuse to fail so I take cheating very seriously and make myself work hard to remain the person I've made myself into because of VGS
