  1. Good luck!! All will go well! See you on the losers bench!
  2. Thanks for responding! Good to know it's normal. Is there anything you took that helped? I have to get on a plan tomorrow and I'm praying to god there will be no accidents! Especially if the seatbelt sign is on! Lol
  3. You got pills to prevent needing gallbladder surgery? I have read with rapid weight loss you may have issues with your gallbladder.. if there is a way to prevent that, I would love in on it! I hated surgery! I don't want to do it again!
  4. A few days out I was swallowing my capsule pills. I would just put it at the back of my throat, put some water in my mouth and swallow. My dr said that was okay and of course you may want to check with yours as well to see if that's okay.
  5. I am about two weeks post op and I have been having bowl movements, earlier today it started to get that diarrhea looking color. And just a little bit ago, I literally only had liquid coming out, just brown liquid. Is this normal? I know that I can call my dr which I will probably do a little bit later, but from now I thought I would ask some people who have or are going through the same thing..
  6. He did my surgery as well I was sleeved on november 6th
  7. Nice! I bet you're proud of yourself! I had my surgery in las Vegas, who was your dr?
  8. Since the day of surgery I have been having some weird smelling urine. I noticed it right when I went to the bathroom after surgery. I am more than a week post op and the smell is still there.. anyone else experience this?
  9. Are you taking the tiniest sips ever? I was told that when that happens, try warm fluids.. I wish you well.
  10. I am not sure on time, I am 1 week post op and let me say.. when I first got home I could barely get any fluids down! The tiniest sips ever! I would cry and complain because I felt as if what I was drinking was not normal and that I would dehydrate myself. I called the doctor and the nurse and they both assured me that this was normal and fine. The best thing to do is sip sip sip sip sip, just keep sipping.. It gets better day by day and you will be able to get even more fluids down. Trust me, at first it is going to feel like you aren't able to get anything down, but I PROMISE is does get BETTER!
  11. I never got the barium swallow. Is that normal? My surgeon said that right after the surgery they puff up the new pouch with air and spray water over it to look for bubbles... I always hear about the barium swallow and wonder if I am the only one who never got it...
  12. Doing well! Bit of gas pain in my stomach though, first time I've felt it since getting the surgery, but I am going to try some gasx to see if it helps. Not taking any pain meds and getting in fluids as well.
  13. You will do great! The goal is to stay positive! Remember why you are making this choice! I am four days post op and I do not regret this! We are all here for the same reason.. A new and healthier us. This is our time to shine. Keep your goals in sight and know that it does get better!! I promise! I wish you a speedy recovery, I will see you on the other side and welcome you to the loser's bench! Best of luck, super excited for you!!!!! If you need a buddy to chat with after your surgery, add me and we can chat!
  14. I will pray for you. I do hope it passes
  15. I'm going to follow this as well.
  16. November 6th here as well! 3 days post opp!
  17. Like everyone has said, chew chew chew! small bites and chew until it's practically mush. My doctor said that if I experience some of the things you described to go back to my liquids 100oz of water 80 grams of protein.. once you can do that per day, try solids again. Just a suggestion on my part.
  18. You make me feel a lot more positive about my recovery. Thank you
  19. Miss guzzling down ice cold water. I miss being able to have ice cold liquids go down my throat. I am doing ok keeping fluids down, my back is in some pain and I get up and walk around after drinking my fluids. To whomever is post op please give me guidance to a speedy recovery!
  20. Have you been using anything specific to help with gas pain that has worked?
