I am 11 days post op my advice to you dont be in a hurry, allow yourself to heal, each day gets better and better, listen to the signals your stomach will give. My post op diet is protein shakes. So I just learned that my shakes go down without my tummy gripping if i drink 4oz at a time instead of 8 oz. Go figure I had to go through 7 days b4 knowing that. Anyway dont be concerned about the weight loss be more concerned about healing do everything they tell you especially walk. Walk around the house, or short distance at first then longer dont push yourself go at your own pace. But you have to walk to get some of the air out and it will make that pain in your shoulder go away. Good luck

congrats on your new life!!!!

November 6th here as well! 3 days post opp!

Doing well! Bit of gas pain in my stomach though, first time I've felt it since getting the surgery, but I am going to try some gasx to see if it helps. Not taking any pain meds and getting in fluids as well.
