  1. My Surgery has been approved! yay! Nov 14th is the big day I have pre op testing Oct 22 and thats when I need to pay for everything, Most its gonna be is $3000 because thats my outapocket deductable. Just curious if anyone knows of any banks that give out medical type loans or good places for financing. Not sure I can come up with a spare $3000 in a month.
  2. Hey was just wondering how you were doing with your 6 months if you finished with it yet or not. I know I was worried to while I was doing my 6 months that I would go throught it all and they would still deny me but as long as you show a weight loss when u go in u will be fine.
  3. I too have BCBS of IL but live in Ohio BMI is 52 right now i believe have high blood pressure. I had no problem getting approved, but I did have to do 6 months with a dietitian and dr and a psych eval, and have them send in their letters to BCBS to get approval.

  5. Its all so confussing but if the doc says I cant go back on the pill Im not sure what Im going to use cus I really dont like condoms. and we are only using them now because we have to!
  6. I was on the pill for years until Aug. I have been off it since mid Aug. So I can have Surgery in Nov. I know its a bit early but I didnt want to have to refill a script so I just ended it then. I was hoping to be able to go back on to the pill after 6 wks when Dr says ok. Anyone else on the pill still with VSG? or did you have to switch completely? I tried NuvaRing before and hated it. Thanks!

  8. Thanks guys, no I have to spend at least two days in hospital and i can have some one stay with me. Im just a worrier of the unknown lol my bf will be staying with me! to help as much as he can my goal will be to try to walk as much as possible so i can leave asap!
  9. Yea, I blog so I want to bring my laptop and cell phone just hoping stay is only 2 days lol im a planner and a worried not a good combo lol
  10. It may feel like a long road now, but the time will fly by, I thought the same thing back in FEB '12 how am I going to make it through 6 months of NUT appts but I did and Surgery is scheduled for Nov 14th so Im still waiting lol
  11. I have never had to stay over night in the hospital before and I am really nervous about it and i dont know why. Surgery is NOV14th Any Ideas on what I should bring with me to the hospital??

  13. Thanks! for the welcome I get the support! But I also get all the worries that they have! which I dont like hearing! I have a huge support system at my home my boyfriend who I live with is my #1 supporter.
  14. Super excited. Surgery is scheduled for Nov 14th Im new to the Forums world, Im looking for some new friends who are going through what I am going through right now. I am very open about the whole WLS. is that wrong? Should I be? Some times I wonder. But I am proud that I have come to this point in my life and made it lifes goal to become healthy and Happy!
