  3. You don't need to take the protein with you do you ??? I would think that the hospital would provide that if you can have it. Best wishes !!!
  4. wow how scary...I have read on here that some throw up blood from the surgery. What a traumatic thing...yikes. If anything else seems not right I would not hesitate to call or go in. Hope you are doing well now....keep us updated and as before praying : )

  11. I had my pre-op visit today. I had to take a test to see what i know or don't know about this whole process. I made a 100 LOL! i had to have blood work, EKG and chest Xray . last week I had to have an upper GI. I'm all ready to go now. My Dr. said that he has NO mortalities or leaks. I asked for a 40 bougie instead of the 32 they usually use. I read that 40's are less likely to leak. I'm getting my wish . i feel very confident of my decision, my surgeon and the hospital and will leave it all in the hands of God and my friends praying for me. I pray we all have smooth sailing !
  12. It shouldn't change anything...you already have the diagnosis . I too am on the 9th but at 7 am : )

Today i am writing down all our names that go into surgery this week and will keep us all in prayer(including myself) ! You will be fine. I try to think of this being a sweet and sour even...kinda like childbirth. You have to go through the bad before you are rewarded with the good. You will have pain but it wont last forever : ) Go through and find some positive feeds to read..keep those in mind. Chek out the before and after pictures : ) God bless you and keep you !

  19. Hi ! Are you drinking enough protein ? I get to have sugar free jello and do use it if i get a bit hungry before my next shake . I try to not watch tv and that helps.....Are you going to post from the hospital to let us know how you are? Do you know how many days you will stay there? Thank for responding !
  20. Wow, I as the same. I never wanted to leave my children with anyone. I know how you feel. They will be okay Maybe try to think about how much better your life with them will be after surgery. I'm sure we will live longer LOL! I dont have my surgery time yet but am guessing it will be at 10 am. I bet i too will have to leave by 3:30. I have my pre-op visit on Monday. Im anxious to get the details and see what my after surgery instructions will be. I'm taking my IPad to the hospital and will post from there. Nice talking to you !
  21. I think I'll freak on the drive....I have a 2 1/2 hour drive to San Antonio Tx, for my surgery. I'm looking forward to my meal tonight : ) I drink 2 shakes and then a tiny meal for dinner. It has to be less than 300 calories ,17 grams of Protein and no more than 40 carbs. I sometimes have a sugar free Jello to help curb appetite.
  22. I've come too far to change my mind as well. I'm not having too much hunger...I drink lots of propel Water in between. I'm so thirsty all the time now. Make ure you get enough Protein, it will drive the hunger away. Well, we can freak out together LOL!
