  1. There is a robitussin that is for diabetics, no sugar or alcohol. Not had surgery yet but am a bad diabetic and that's what I take.

So far the pre diet is going well. Worried about getting surgery before the end of year. Can't afford co-pay and co-insurance all at once in the new year. Waiting on surgeons reply on what he can do to resolve this. Keep praying it all works out. Gave away all my big summer cloths, being positive no matter what. I'm planning on visiting all those resale cloths shops after surgery, not gonna spend too much money on cloths I will shrink out of. Lol Now I'm thinking of starting at Curves, there's one a block from my house. I'm motivated on diet but still not into exercise. I hope that comes soon, I know I need it but I guess I need a better attitude about it. Lord, please renew my mind! All for now, oh I almost forgot, my rings almost fell off my fingers. Only noticeable progress but progress all the same. Ok, done now.

    Yes, it's his specialty
  4. They were pretty good at sticking to my pre diet, but I had to have fruited yogurt. Hard to find Turkey bacon. But all the walking seemed to burn it off. Didn't help that it was "food and Wine time". I'm happy to say, I had no fattening junk food, but I sure would have loved some ice cream. Lol Let me know if you need restaurant help!
  5. Sugars doing better once I worked on my Basel settings. I still feel like I'm eating like a pig. Eating more healthy but munching a lot. Hubby and I went out to eat today and I did really good, had to re arrange the menu but the waitress was really good to help me. Although she put croutons on my salad. Lol. No, I didn't eat them. Docs office called today, he wants an upper GI and a gastric emptying test done, better safe than sorry. Heading to Disney in Florida next week, I sure hope it's easier than I'm anticipating. Stay tuned

It took a while finding a surgeon who would do my surgery, I guess I'm a high risk. (Who would have thought). Lol I am getting the sleeve, then hopefully a pancreas bypass. I have had many abdominal surgeries but this one I'm kinda looking forward to. I was so thankful to find a doctor with a sence of humor, I told him all the problems I had and he just kept saying arggg. Then he looked at my scar and I told him there was mesh underneath, arggg again. Lol The shrink you liver diet isn't so bad, but the lack of caffeen is giving me a headache, and an upset stomach adjusting to no carbs. I was surprised when it took a while for my sugar to come down to normal range, but I'm not normal is what my friends tell me. Lol All for now, next appt in Mid October for psyche and weigh in.
  7. Just started my pre-op diet, like Adkins. Found that my sugars are running high without eating carbs. Anyone else run into this?
