Ditto here, I am on day 10 and felt nausious during the first week but it has passed . I also felt dizzy a lot but the Dr said to not do as much physical stuff as I was doing (slow down LOL) I heat with firewood & its wood season so stackin up 10-15 cords was a little much apparently. You will get through the tummy upset, just keep your eyes on the prize !

Thanks so much for sharing your trip to MX for your WLS!! I leave 1 week from today & have my surgery on the 26th, so it was great to see a little of what I am looking forward to. Loved the pics & the play by play! You look so happy, glad all went well

Sounds like we are on the same pre-op diet, only mine is 30-40 carbs. While I haven't had chest pains, I have gotten leg cramps & dizzy spells. Hopefully you are right & it is just that godd ol Texas heat but please check with your Dr asap as you don't want anything to come up prior to your surgery

If you have been advised by your Dr that you need to take these shots, I would ask your Dr.

Katie713. thank you for your advise & support. I am in Canada, and yes I am doing the pre-op diet. I am on day 4 and down 10lbs already. I know, a lot of water weight but hey, its still 10 off my goal of 175 LOL! I am seeing a councillor now for the grief councelling and I will ask about WLS support groups too. Great advice , thank so much for your input!

Hello all! I am new to the group and am 53. I will be getting sleeved in MX on the 25th of Sept. I am going to lose 175 lbs, so it will be a long but worthwhile journey for me Look forward to sharing my journey with you & hearing about yours too ! I lost my hubby in an accident 3 months ago and decieded it was time to find myself as I move forward in my new life without him.

I started my pre-op diet on Monday & am down 8lbs today. I am sure as we are all different we will all have different results.

I am going to Tijuana, Hospital Nova with Dr Cabrera . I can't wait !!!

Woohoo! I am nervous too but more excited. What hospital will you be going to?

Hello BC'ers ! I have opted to have my surgery in Mexico. I am tired of the wait here. Been close to a year & haven't even been called for a consult. My surgery date is Sept 26th and I am very excited to get this jorney started. I am on day 2 of my pre-op diet. Any suggestions & places to go for allowable protein drinks/bars ?

I think we all have encountered the "user friendly" people out there. I have let go of the people in my life that I felt fell into this category as I knew they werre not there for me. I can't stand people that use me as a door mat or only call when they "need" something. Sorry, not that gal anymore, even before I have my surgery. At work, I just say , oh, I'm not sure better check with"..." LOL!! User Friendly- no more !!

Hi Holly, thanks I am on protein shakes & bars for 2 weeks. This is all happening really fast LOL! I made up my mind after a month of research andmade the call and bamm going in 2 weeks ! Yikes !
