Taco Pizza
I might have done the math wrong. I checked it twice but that doesn’t mean I didn’t do it wrong. Ill takes the title down till I check it again. but what I did was add up all the calories for each ingredient and divided it by ten because I cut it into ten pieces. Like for the Beans the can was 8 servings. So I used a half a can so when I took the calorie part from the can I timed it by 4 because I used for servings. I did this with everything. I did the same thing with the protein. I figured that was the right way to do it. Ill do the math again when I get home and see what I get. Does this sound right to you?

Taco Pizza
It was brought up that the math for the calories and Protein could be wrong. they have it as 135cal. and 14g of protein. Ill be checking my math tomorrow morning. either way its still a good. Taco pizza Ingredients: - One medium-large sized egg - 1lb lean ground beef (also good with ground chicken) - One pack of taco seasoning (I used the reduced sodium one) - 1/2 can of refriend Beans - 1/2 bag of reduced fat cheese - 1/2 can of salsa (I use chunky) Extras: - Light sour cream - Lettuce - Onion - Peppers Any Veggies you want to add go right a head. Directions: Pre heat oven to 350 degrees and either wrap a pizza pan or baking sheet with tin foil and spray it with non-stick cooking spray. Mix ground beef and egg in a large bowl. Then slowly add the taco seasoning till it becomes doughy. Start spreading out ground beef on the tin foil like a pizza. You want it about 1/4in. thick. Once you have it spread out place in the oven for 20-25 mins. After you take it out cut into it a bit to make sure it’s fully cooked. If it looks good use paper towels to wipe of all the extra taco seasoning and grease that his leaked out from cooking. This is what it will look like before wiping it off. Below is what it should look like after wiping if off. Now add your refried beans and spread it out over you ground beef crust. Now add you salsa the same way. Now you add the cheese to the top. Put taco pizza back into the oven for 5 minutes or until cheese is melted. I cut my pizza into 10 slices. This gives me two slices a day for 5 days at work (my first and second breaks). Add any extra toppings to it and enjoy. If you cut your pizza into 10 slices and just add light sour cream it comes to about 300 cal. and 38g of protein a slice.

I am almost 4 months out and just got over a 3 week stall. then out of nowhere I lost 4lbs. in two days. Its crazy. Hang in there.

Did I really do the right thing?
I am almost 4 months out now. I woke up out of surgery and the first thing I said to my mom and brother was... Why did I do this. I felt like crap. first week was ok then I start regreting it was see food ads on t.v. and friends werent helping by sending me pictures of food. They were be funny but it sucked for me. That first month month was bad for me. After that I figured out was to eat what I like but in a healthy way and it was wonderful that I wasnt hungry and didnt need to eat a whole pizza and a sub to feel that way. It will get better butyou will have bad moments. You have to adjust to a new life style and a new way of eating. Its a tool and will only work if you work with it. You work harder the better the out come. In 4 months I have lost 103lbs down 50% of my extra weight. I am at the gym 4 days a week and out running on trails on the other days. I make sure I get in my Protein and Water. Because I want to be healthy and not the fat guy in the group any more. Stay strong it will get better trust me.

Dating and letting them know you had surgery
I didn’t expect this thread to go like this but anyways... I am a very open person that tells everyone everything if it’s asked. I tell random people at the store and other places that I had surgery I don’t care. I am sure I will have issues with telling people when it comes to dating but if they don’t want to talk to me because of it then it’s not worth my time either. Everyone is different and after reading some comments on here I am shocked at how some people reacted to others comments. This is supposed to be a support site. I just wanted others opinions on the topic not people bashing other for what they do or don’t do. I guess I’ll think twice before posting a topic again.

Dating and letting them know you had surgery
So I am not at this point yet. I haven’t started dating or even looking as I am still focusing on myself. But this came up while talking to a female friend that also had the surgery and is having a hard time. She says everything goes fine for the first week or two of talking and going out on a date but when she lets them know she had surgery they stop talking to here and that’s the end of it. Most of the say its not her its them and they are busy or have a lot going on. Have any of you had the same issue or is it different for guys? When is the right time to let them know? She said she doesn’t just come out and tell them she waits tell a subject that relates to it comes up and slips it in. I am just interested in what you all think since it might be some help later on for me as well.

3 Months post opt
So this coming Sunday, the 21st, will be my 3 month anniversary. Everything is going great and everything is much easier now. My friends still try to make it hard but my will power is back and I can just laugh it off and not worry what others are eating. I feel like I don’t need food the way I needed it before. I am so happy I have had the sleeve. Others at work and friends have even asked me about it and they have started looking into it themselves. So starting out I was 360lbs and the day of surgery I was around 340lbs. As of today I am down to 267lbs a total of 93lbs. I can taste 100 around the corner. I hope everyone else is having great results as well.

New Isopure flavors
So there are some new Isopure flavors coming out this week. I was able to get my hands on one at my hospital. The flavor I was able to taste and take home was coconut. It tastes like a Piña colada. This is now in my top 2 flavors. They say there where other flavors but couldnt say what yet. Anyone that likes Isopure keep a eye out for them.

The Savage Race
Thanks, and yes i have a few people going with me. I just broke the 300 mark and was thinking about 60lbs by then should be doable. that would put me around 240 with that and everything I am doing now I think ill be able to do most of the obstacles. I just really need to get my cardio up and being heavy right now and working out helps a lot with that. I figure by the time I drop more weight ill have Iron longs. lol I am so thinking about doing the Tour De Cure with some people from work in May. Figure that could help me as well.

protein drink before or after
Hello everyone, So I been going to the gym everyday this week since i am now allowed to lift. I been taking my Protein drink about a hour before going to the gym. then I com home take my Vitamins then eat about 1-2 hours after that (3-4 hours after the protein drink). Should I take the Protein Drink after my work out? will it help more? Like to hear from the people that lift. Also do you take anything else to help?

People dont get it!
I fine that most people understand but there are people that do things just to push you. I have had friends send me pictures of food. I also have found the bigger the person is the more they hate that I had the surgery.

TWO WEEKS THAT I GOT SURGERY...
there are a few websites that I use and some cook books I have found. Chef Dave has a few cook books made just for us. his web site also has a lot of information and recipes on it. ChefDave.org if I remember right. http://bariatricfood...te-recipes.html is another good web site. Hope that helps a little.
