  1. 35.5 BMI.. 5'6" and no co-morbities... got fired two days after my birthday.. Insurance wouldn't cover it anyway.. took my 401k.. self pay here in Texas.. a little more expensive but I trust my doctor... I will go to Mexico for plastics afterward if needed.... Surgery is on Wednesday! Woo hoo!
  2. The Dr. office told me that due to the amount needed after surgery, that they didn't recommend the sub-lingual or the pills because how much you would have to take...
  3. I found something at the grocery store the other day... it would be quick and relatively easy to make... Old El Paso now makes "tortilla fillers" they come in those heat and eat microwave packages.. Meat and everything EXCEPT the tortilla. Throw that in the blender/processor with a few drops of enchilada sauce and you have at least something with some flavor... I bought a few for after surgery.
  4. Instead of mixing my Unjury with 8 oz. of skim milk, I mix it in with 12 oz. It tones down the sweetness and fills me up better on the pre-op diet.. I LOVE the strawberry sorbet and just ordered it, the chicken soup, and the unflavored to mix with my yogurt and such after surgery. I was drinking the Premier and they are "ok" but not something I could drink everyday.. I also use the chewable vitamins for sleeve/bypass patients that Unjury offers. They are good.
  5. Excuse me? Wow... pretty presumptive.. You don't know how tall she is? Whether there are extenuating medical issues? I weigh less than that and other than being 100+ lbs over MY ideal weight, I am considered healthy. I am having surgery next Wednesday so that I don't have future issues like some of my family members did...
  6. Well you got me to thinking so I called the dr. office and found out.. My doctor uses a 40, unless there are other issues involved. Mine will be a 40.. and I am 5'6", long torso female. He also staples, cuts, and cauterizes the "seam" to lessen the possibility of leakage.. I am less worried about the surgery itself than I am what life would be like if I don't have it.
  7. Got my Vanilla and Vitamins today.. they also make the chewable Purity brand Multivitamins designed for bypass/sleeve patients.. I turned around and ordered the chicken soup/strawberry/unflavored.. that way I can change it up for a while... Stopped at GNC and got two of their Protein shaker cups with the wire whisk inside.. They were buy one get one half off... Pre-op done today and surgery on Wednesday.. so excited. Oh and I mix my unjury with 2% milk...
  8. My surgery is the 12th of this month and I do appreciate the list.. found a few things I hadn't thought of... I am going in a sundress and flip flops... so no worries there... I have Kindle/Nook software on my phone and a headset so between some good books and Vivaldi's Four Seasons.. I might get some rest LOL
  9. Airhawk.com dear... I sell motorcycle parts for a living in the real world and I can assure you, you will LOVE it... it is adjustable to YOU... your wife would like on too I bet... Check with any of your local bike shops, if they don't have them, they can order them. Well I made this comment not realizing I was too late.. darn...
  10. Blue Cross Anthem is horrid.. they will not cover the after loss plastic surgery... Had two co-workers, lost well in excess of 100 lbs... Anthem considered it NON NECESSARY and they fought it for years... no go.. you would be better off to save your pennies and go to Tijuana for a Mommy Makeover for 5k
  11. I have been where you are but I had a brand new grandchild in the mix.. GET HER HELP! I thought I was doing the right thing by giving her space.. If not for the very quick response of a Fort Worth PD dispatcher, I wouldn't have her today ( today is her 25th bday too).. She od'd on pills.. They saved her and she is fine now but...
