Had a horrendous time friday to monday, mom has a water infection and was rushed into hospital on friday night, she was delireous and not herself at all. Still managed to stick to the diet even though i wanted to eat comfort food. Mom is on the mend and is getting 24 hour care, so i can relax a little. My period came yesterday after only 19 days, it must be the weight loss on the 800 cal diet. I have my pre op assessment in the morning, praying i will pass everything so that the op is not delayed. Finding the diet easy now, got used to rumbling tum and eating loads of veg to fill me up. Also,i am feeling much better for the healthy diet. It will be interesting to see how much i have lost when the period ends, am so glad it came this week and not next week. Hoping this coming early will not continue, i am 54 and want them to STOP, that is it for today. I
  4. lol, thanks for the giggle, i know just what u mean with the under wear, I am wearing jeans but in a size 28 with big baggy tops, look forward to wearing the size 16 designer jeans that i bought recently, in about a year or less, i hope,
  5. thinking about all of those who are having their op tomorrow, looking forward to hearing how you get on, best wishes and prayers for u all. xx
  6. Hi, thinking about you, the days will fly by and then your dream begins, Janet, :-)
  7. Totally agree, your story is inspirational and you certainly deserve all the good that is coming your way, thank you, it is people like you that really help the doubts to go away, :-)
  8. Hi, I have sleep apnea and still hate the mask but am also so grateful for the treatment. I only manage to wear mine for about 4 hours a night, but it has still made a big difference. I have to take mine into hospital with me and am not looking forward to wearing it, but it is for my good so will obey. Really hope I can stop using it soon, best wishes , :-)
  9. I am going to have to ring my nurse, i was told i would need to go into hospital the day before because of the diabetese been controlled by injections, but, on the letter that came today i am to be admitted at 11am on the day of my op. It also said for the by pass and yet i told them i wanted the sleeve, am puzzled, but will have to wait until monday to talk to anyone seeing as it is 4.15 on a friday afternoon. Had a very stressful morning with mom, still very confused, sat and listened to 5 hours of mixed up memories from mom, really hope these antibiotics get on top of the infection and she gets her mind back soon. The hunger is under control more now, and i am able to stick to the 800 cals and ercord it with fitness pal, which is a great app on my tablet pc. I am aware that i need to be sttrong over the weekend, and then it will be one week done, and one week to go. Now i must sleep and relax, zzzzzz

4th day and feel more in control today, not as hungry and am not thinking about food. Had a very stressful day, my 80 year old mom is ill and had to call a doc and be there, but did'nt turn to food, another small hurdle over. I have my close friends praying for me and can tell that they are praying enabling me to stick to this very low cal diet. my bs went really low yesterday and i knew about it, but managed to eat before i went totally strange, lol. Each day is a day nearer, so glad i am not alone in this, :-)

  13. hi, now I am on the pre op diet and count down to surgery I have begun to think about post op diet that I will be following and realised that I don't actually know what it will be. Do other UK people know what your post op diet will be? :-)
  14. I am hoping that the new bariatric dept i am going to will have gowns that fit, but i will want to be in my own clothes as soon as i can, and it is pj's for me, x
  15. hi, i am disabled and at my current weight am not able to exercise, i cannot walk far at all because i get cramp in the bottom of my back. When i am in my wheelchair i self propel, but can not do it for long. I use my stomach muscles a lot to help me sit up in bed, and am concerned if i will be able to do this after the op. I intend to go swimming after the op when i am recovered, but can't think of anything else i can do. I have fatigue probs with the fibromyalgia but am hoping i will have more energy when i have lost some weight to be able to do some arm exercises, i have bought some little hand held weights but have not got a clue what to do with them, any advice would be really appreciated, especially from anyone else who is disabled and lives with fibro, thanks, Janet, x
  16. felt elated last night at getting through the first day, managed to stay under the 800 cals, and when i woke up felt good but oh my goodness, this is real, 14 days to go. Got weighed and dropped 4lb but i knew i would because i had many visits to the loo. Keeping busy again today, sorted out the small dishes and cutlery i had bought ready for post op food.
  17. gall bladder pain is more to the right under the boob and rib area, I think you should check it with your aftercare people, x
