  1. I do believe I am a food addict...I was and will be for the rest of my life....I do not agree in binging or grazing or out of control eating.... I do however do not look at this tool and program as a diet...I failed all those diets before and had the sleeve to help me deal with the reasons why I got to this point. These are real people looking for real answers..Answers that are not always that simple to give....I eat everything!! I hardly ever eat refined sugar..No chips, candy or fries...But I look at food now as a way to live...not the way to deal with my issues... This is a life long adventure or journey whichever you want to call it....And we need to be real..At first we all have extreme zeal and it shows by some of the way we answer that questions on here.....Then we start to see the giant picture that this is our life now and we live in the real world...That all diets did not work for us and so we need to modify how we handle our addiction. Personally I believe that there is a place for most foods in my life....I do try to stay balanced and watch my intake and listen to my sleeve... I thought when I was done that I would get through this with no issues at all...Life is not like that it is full of twists and turns and we have to be ready for them....So I do believe in balance....
  2. Is there no one from Saint John or Quispamsis on this Forum?
  3. Fool around when you feel up to it.....Some people take longer then others to start again due to pain....There are no sex police....lol
  4. Thank you..That brought tears to my eyes.......
  5. Any drastic change in the body can cause hair to fall out and nails to break and so on....how much depends on your system... Every time I started a diet and stayed on it for more then 2 months my hair started to shed.... You are one of the fortunate ones if it has not been that bad...Mine did not fall out either because of the sleeve...but I lost it all in the hospital because of the complications with the sleeve..... Growing back though......yeah!
  6. Mad is good!! Mad gives you power and makes you stubborn and builds mind strength..And that is what you need for a little while Hun.....Show your body who is in charge and kick it.....
  7. I suggest you wait on the telling your surgeon what you think..you have the right to expect answers and proper care..But wait until you are thinking clearly and have calmed down....Surgeons who do this work are really concerned when one does not go well..He could very likely be side tracked with working out a plan for you..... I personally felt that my surgeon saved my life and gave me the chance to live again...We did not have a fantastic relationship either...( he is very shy ) but as time went on I could see his concern and he worked tirelessly to get me well...And for that I am grateful... Right now.....Your nerves are acting up and you are winged out....Try to relax and let them do their job.....I know that is hard to do..but it is exactly what I had to do....
  8. high fever is the real sign of being septic.....high dozes of antibiotics will clear that up in no time.....I remember the lack of energy well...I kept passing out the last 2 days I was home before my grand daughter pushes on my abdomen and liquid started to come out of the staples.....they have you in the best place right now....you are better off then I was....you can handle this hun.......I promise!
  9. Me too..was just released a month ago from medical care...That was a long 10 months for me...But!!!!! I would do it all again to be who I am right now...And you can take that to the bank....
  10. My surgeon would not under any circumstances do the surgery if you cheated by eating a peanut..others don't seem to care...guess you will have to wait and see which side your surgeon fall on....
  11. I know what you mean...LOL!
  12. You are going to live hun..The stent is to heal the sleeve around it...Sometimes they leave them in and other times they take them out after the incision heals..Most likely you will wait 6 weeks before they even think about removing it...The pain is bad I know I had 2 of them..One for 6 weeks and then they decided to add another one on top of the first...... Make sure they give you nausea meds and pain killers...You will feel like you are full all the time...Some people have it worse then others.....Stay calm...There are a lot of things they can do for you.....I have had it all done to me......I am 11 months out, and almost 6 months out of the hospital.......Stop crying hun.....You will be okay.. If you want me to talk to you..message me and I will be there for you during this time.....
  13. I have been saying this stuff for months now on this forum...I feel like I was talking to myself most of the time...Dam..Maybe if I had a cool accent people might have listened...LOL
  14. My hubby just looked at your pics..He said you went from smiley to saucy....He laughed and said go get em girl!!!! LOLOLOLO

  18. Have you ever had smashed potatoes with sour cream and dill.....with a pork roast to die for....sorry I brought that up!!!!
  19. If it is Chronic depression then you never get over it...It always pops up when you least expect it and stays for however long it wants to..But I find when I have my dark moments which happen quite a bit..I push myself to move....Do something for someone else...Pick up a difficult hobby.....Get out of the house and walk. The air is a wonderful equalizer. Make sure you have the proper drugs for your type of depression...If you give into it..It Takes over and you go down down until you are in a black hole..... I take Ativan....When I am too bad to deal with people and that helps a lot....You must learn where the triggers are for you and try to identify why you are having this bad moment..... My depression is different then yours and yours mine...We are not identical people but a few of what I mentioned could be a help.. Refined sugar can also make matters worse..Protein seems to help some with mine...I observed that with this sleeve.....Hope it helps!
  20. Get some G2 and mix it 1/2 and 1/2 with water...It will help with hydration.....Broth has protein in it but if it is made from scratch it has more.....There are protein powders that you can directly mix with water....Syntrax nector..I use it plain in water with ice..It is not bad at all......
  21. Control, I have a shaky grasp on it now.. My hands are tired and weak at the moment.. I don't think there is one of us that are out of the zealous I will be different and I don't understand what people are thinking stage...I will just give it to them straight stage...Does not feel like you! I love how you put it..shaky grasp!
