1. Hey EVERYONE!!! I was sleeved Aug 24th...I started at 348 lbs DOS 331 lbs I am now 285 lbs!!!!!!!!!! I just bought a size 20 pair of jeans!!!!! I am super happy I did this...I could have NEVER done it without my sleeve...will follow!!!
2. Started at 348 lbs last week I hit 50 lbs gone...298 lbs!!!!!!!!!!!!
3. I'm finally under 300!!!! I weighed myself three times to make sure!!! 298!!!! Total 50 lbs GONE!!!! It is crazy how it just sneaks up on you!!! Super happy Curvy Girl here!!!!
4. Date sleeved: 8-24-12 Start weight: 348 pre op 331 DOS Weight today: 305 What you eating and how much daily: I eat around 800 calories a day give or take depending on the day. I really try to get a Protein shake in everyday, Breakfast 1 eggs or Beans and cheese lunch and Dinner...I eat ALOT of shredded chicken, ground beef, chili from Wendy's...mostly meats and cheese. I can eat pretty much ANYTHING chips and dips, nachos, spaggetti meat with a little bit of noodles...I just can't eat ALOT of it which is okay. I have a HARD time with my water...I am very busy and tend to forget to drink...I'm working on it. How hungery are you?: I do get hungry but it only takes a little bit of food to satisfy me. How you feel physically: I feel fine...no different than before. I haven't started working out yet...but I am excited to start. How you feel emotionally: I feel good emotionally. I can SEE the difference in my body. I still struggle sometimes when people are eating around me and I can't keep up...but I know it is for the good of my health. And who needs to eat that much anyway.... Are you glad you chose the sleeve?: YES I AM...it was really hard for the first three weeks but it is getting so much easier!!! I even had some WINE!!!!!!!!!!!! That made me SUPER happy Anything extra to say?: I know I could never have done this without the sleeve. It has totally changed my thinking about food. I don't OBSESS about food anymore like I use to. I eat because I have to....
5. I am six weeks out and FULL OF QUESTIONS today....(thank God for this forum) After I've been eating I get this sharp pain in my shoulder/neck. I think it is a trigger to tell me I need to stop but I'm not sure. Anyone get this? Or does anyone know what this is?
6. I am six weeks out today... I think I do eat too fast and probably sometimes too much (1 extra bite) I really hope someday the pain does go away... I also get this pain in my shoulder/neck when I am full (like a sharp pain) Does anyone get that?
7. Just curious... Will I ever feel normal eating? It seems like it is more of a chore to eat to where sometimes I feel like it takes longer to make the food than to eat the food...LOL I guess I'm asking does the HURT full ever go away or will I feel this forever... Don't get me wrong I LOVE my sleeve and the weight I've lost but just curious. I'm finding myself not eating as much as I should just cause I don't want to hassle with the pain. I know it is my fault (eating too fast or too much) Hopefully I am making sense...
8. I just want to suggest that everyone take a before picture and when you feel like things are moving slow COMPARE the pictures!!! It is weird how we don't see our own progress!!! This is NOT easy by any means but I could NEVER be where I am now without my SLEEVE!!!!!!!!!!!
9. So do you see a difference?
10. The first two to three weeks were H E L L!!!! I even regretted the surgery. But now that I'm losing and I can eat I UNDERSTAND what the sleeve is doing for me it is so great.
11. I was sleeved 8/24...after a TWO WEEK stall...I am down to 312 lbs!!!!!!!!!! I started at 346 pre op and 331 dos. I am eating around 800 calories a day give or take a 100 calories. I am sooooooo happy to be done with purees, Soups and all that!!! I am eating pretty much what I want PROTIEN first...I have had a cookie but couldn't eat more than one (that is just funny coming from me who could eat 10 before) It seems like I'm eating ALL DAY LONG...but I'm good. Sometimes I think I'm eating too much when I go over 800 calories but then I think I should be eating (with a normal stomach) 1600 calories to lose weight. This has been the best thing I've done...my two week stall at 3 weeks was annoying but I got through it!!! MY SLEEVE ROCKS!!!!!!!!
12. What about CORN IN A CUP...with mayo, cheese, butter and Lucus? I use to eat that weekly....
13. I think it has to do with height...I was wearing a size 14 at 236 lbs years ago when I was 236 lbs LOL Now I have lost 32 lbs and am still in my size 26 jeans....either I was wearing them WAY TOO TIGHT or I haven't lost much weight from my hips and thighs I'm pretty sure it was the first one....
14. Yes I heard your body can only absorb so much protien at one time. I don't remember the amount but if you go over that amount it will not be absorbed.
15. I think there is something about that 30 lbs that makes the body freaks out. I was stuck at 29 lbs for two weeks. Finally it started moving on the 3rd week. There is no way in the world with all the wonderful things you are doing that the scale will not move. It is not possible. Hang in there...you WILL lose!!!
16. I am down three lbs to 317....THANK GOD....Hopefully it will keep going down.... I didn't really do anything different. I think my body just needed time to adjust. Even though those three lbs had been lost before I'm good with being down again. 299 lbs HERE I COME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
17. it is funny...30 lbs seems to be the norm...I've lost 29 lbs and haven't lost anything in two weeks. I am eating 300 - 600 calories so I know it is nothing I am doing. Just one of those things we have to go through. There is no way I can go eating 600 calories and NOT lose....the scale will move.
18. I was sleeved August 24th. I am eating soft foods, some chicken, avacado, eggs, cheese, crab, fish, good stuff I've lost 29 lbs (15 preop) (14 postop) And I have been stalled for almost two weeks I can pretty much eat anything and I LOVE THE SLEEVE
19. I eat them with Melba Snacks. They are little melba toast crackers...they disolve very easily
20. Just curious...I lost 14 lbs the first week and a half and nothing for the last week and a half... So I'm going on 2 week stall....I HOPE AND PRAY THIS IS THE LAST WEEK!!!! How long was yours?
21. I lost 15 lbs preop and then 14 lbs the first week and that's it. Nothing since.....I actually gained 2 lbs I don't know how it's possible I don't eat more than 600 calories a day. But they say it happens. So I'm just going with the flow and hope the scale moves soon.
22. People who are always telling my husband, "What are you gonna do when she gets skinny" or "You better watch it when she gets skinny" Is just me or is that an insult to both of us?
23. So pozole from the menudo is okay...I'm so glad about that!!! chicken Mole is another one YUMMY
24. I just thank GOD I have a sleeve that allows me to eat. I know some people have problems but I've always had a pretty tough tummy I was worried I'd be a delicate eater but NOPE....I just can't wait to LOSE weight now!!!
25. What about menudo?!?! When can I have that or can I have that?!?! I am three weeks out
