  1. I was approved in 3 days. Call everyday and keep on top of them. It took about a week or a week and a half for me to get the actual letter.
  2. There are several different items available. if you are interested please don't hesitate to PM me and i'll get right back to you. If you need clearer or more images please let me know. There are no prices, just looking for your offers. I'll ship clothes out to you, I'm from New Jersey, but I'm sure we can figure out the most affordable way to get them to you. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v643/sweetbaby01430/Clothes/
  3. So I just looked at the calendar and realized, surgery is already a month away! I started my whole process on July 21st, and I cannot believe that a month from today, my new life truly begins. What is everyone doing to prepare themselves for surgery? Today I cleaned out my closet of things I really know I do not need. I also have my pre-op testing scheduled for Tuesday. I hope this month next just flies by. To be supportive, my family is hosting Thanksgiving this week since I will not be able to eat on the actually day. I told them they can't not have Thanksgiving in November, so they said they'd do it twice so I can at least participate in one.
  4. November 15th and no liquid diet for me!
  5. Oh good luck! hoping for a quick and speedy approval for you! We can be sleeve buddies!
  6. I'm preparing for surgey on the 15th of November. I've ordered some samples of unjury and syntrax nectar. I was wondering how long after surgery are you on these protein shake/ supplements? I know the vitamins are forever...I'm going to start looking for those now but the protein is what I'm concerned about. I know they are pricey so I want to prepare myself.
  7. Hey all My names Ashley and I'm a 24 year old college student from New Jersey. I have been battling weight since I was born. I don't remember a time being a normal weight. After 3 failed weight watcher attempts in 2 years...and many before then, I decided I need more help then that. I will be sleeved on 11/15 after a very painless approval. I have a sister getting married this coming may, and myself in 9/2014 so I cannot wait to drop this weight!
  8. http://www.oxo.com/p-1206-4-piece-mini-measuring-beaker-set.aspx Anyone use these to measure liquid?
  9. I'm a little nervous because I've been reading things stating that you should have a drain, but I know my doctor does not use one unless there is an infection. Should I be worried?
  10. I'm from NJ and will be having my surgery November 15
  11. Rutherford nj 11/15 Hackensack hospital
  12. So I'm sitting here wanting to make an after surgery bucket list and I'm wondering what's on everyone elses.
  13. I'm from northern NJ
  14. Congrats on being approved! We're going to be sleeve buddies because I'm having surgery the same day! I also have pcos and am dealing with major problems from it right now, so I'm worried about the weight loss.
  15. Hey Ladies! I just wanted to jump in here. I'm having surgery with Dr. Trivedi's associate, Dr. Ewing. I will also have surgery at HUMC. I was just wondering how HUMC is and if they let you shower and everything while you're there. Were you in a private room or double? Also do they have a special bariatric wing? Sorry to be a pain I'm going in for my sleeve on Nov 15 and I'm jut curious. Also, what did you bring with you?
  16. Congrats! Good luck with the surgery, I'll see you on the losers bench in Novemeber!
  17. I'm just going for the sleeve, no revision. I have uhc choice plus ppo. I called everyday when I knew my paper work was submitted. I dont know if that gives them more of a push or what.
  18. I also have united health care. I was nervous because m requirement was a five year history of a bmi of 40 and I didnt have it but I gave them as much information as I could and I was approved in 3 days.
  19. I submitted to insurance on8/24 and had my approval by 8/29. So it's not even about waiting for that. My date just seems like years away. I'm trying to calm down on my eating because i feel like i've gained weight since my consult and i would rather lose. i'm going to therapy to try to get myself fully prepared for this journey, but getting to my goal seems like forever.
  20. I am so anxiously awaiting my surgery date, and it feels like time is going by so slow! I have a little more than 2 months left. I could have had my surgery a lot faster, but I'm a college student so I wanted to have it when I know I would have a big enough break to recover instead of taking off 2 weeks of class. I'm having it done the week before thanksgiving so I figure 1 1/2 weeks will be long enough since I have about 3 hours of class a day I think I'll be able to handle it. After appendix surgery I was in my dorm room the next day. Anyway what did/do you do to make the time go by faster? I'm so tempted to bump my date up but I know it's not the best option for me.
  21. I have United Healthcare and I'm just waiting for the date. I was approved on August 29th, and my scheduled date is 11/15 because I had to wait to have a big enough break to get it done. I'm anxiously waiting for the date to come.
  22. Glad you got approved and hope the new hospital will take you on! Don't give up you know the end result will be worth it!
