  1. Congrats! The pre-op diet is a small price to pay for the reward after the surgery. Good luck
  2. Good luck to both of you!
  3. I also took whole pills...for pain...heartburn etc
  4. 41 pounds congrats! I'm loving the "clothes are too big" phase. Keep it up!
  5. Wow, what a difference! How much weight have you lost?
  6. You look amazing!
  7. I have 6 beautiful scars which are slowly fading.
  8. I had to inject myself once a day for 3 weeks...well worth it, considering what the consequences might be.
  9. Congrats on your successful surgery and the peeing!!!!
  10. I had to do it for 3 weeks. My daughter did it for me, but it really is painless. I didn't mind having the shots, better safe than sorry.
  11. I'm 4 weeks out and today I started feeling some pain around one of the incision sites...only when I make a movement. Has anyone else experienced this?
  12. I had my surgery on the 24th and have lost 18 lbs...so 25 lbs is great!
  13. Congratulations TamaraS! 17lbs wow! I have the same feelings...sometimes I feel soooo hungry, so what I'm doing is when I feel like I want to eat I make myself busy, like going for a walk, or even jumping in the shower. It's amazing how much a few little distraction can do. If that doesn't work, just think about how well you are doing, that should be good incentive to stay on the right track.
  14. You should ask your dr if you can have something a little more nutritious when you see him tomorrow.
  15. TamaraS, I can't believe you are still on liquid only! My doctor has allowed me to eat cereal and milk in the morning or cream of wheat and creamed soups for lunch and supper...not great, but a heck of a lot better than just liquid.
  16. I had my surgery on the Sept. 24th and am doing well. The first few days were slightly uncomfortable but the pain meds did the trick. Good luck all....
  17. I'm 3 days post op and have sharp pain (maybe gas) every time I drink something and also when I have a long conversation.
  18. Hi everyone, Just had surgery on monday...feeling better but I still have these sharp pains that last only a few seconds after I drink or talk. Has anyone else experienced this? Please let me know...I'm freaking out!
