  1. Congrats! I can't wait to join you in the 100s!
  2. Wishing you all the best! I am sure everything will go well!
  3. Good to know he called you. It seems weird to only go through the coordinators. I am a little worried about my latex allergy, but I think I can wait to talk to him when I get there.
  4. Also, I didn't have to book two months in advance, I did it because it was the only time i could get off work.
  5. I'm paying 4700 for Dr Garcia, but I booked a bit ago. I heard it was 4500 recently. 500 deposit within two weeks of booking. Then 500 two weeks before with the rest you can pay with a cashiers check when you arrive.
  6. Having surgery nov 5th with Dr Garcia. I believe I have been chatting with your friend today. So excited to have found someone the same day!
  7. Love these forums! So many things come up that I didn't even think about! Thanks for asking!
  8. He has never been all that into the big girl thing. He's only 140 on a heavy day. That is why his comments made me think "WTH, did he just say that"? He could be insecure about what the future holds, but having gone through a large weightloss with me before, he knows it won't make me leave. All it means is more time at the gym and less naps.
  9. I think that has to be it. He is worried, but feeling like he should be encouraging. He actually rubbed my belly the other day, which is just really weird when there is no baby there.
  10. So, my surgery date is getting closer. Nov 5th. I can hardly wait. Anyhoo, my fiancé has as if late been making comments that make me think he is going to miss all the fatness. He has not discouraged me from getting surgery though. It's just curious. He was happy a couple years back when I lost lots on the HCG diet. Do you think this is just his way if telling me he is nervous about the surgery? Cause I can't imagine he will miss the fatness.
  11. Successfully Slimmer. Most of the posts I see when I search them are from 2010.
  12. Thanks. I don't hear much on here about the company I booked through, so I have no idea what to expect. I know they said they do not do much site seeing stuff, but the driver may be available. I have no idea if there will be visits at the hotel or Gatorade/ Water or extra gauze provided. Though, if I didn't know that some companies provided that, I wouldn't expect it. I guess I have more questions to ask. I am so glad to have so many people to ask questions of.
  13. I went with successfully slimmer to book with dr Garcia. I was originally scheduled with dr Almanza. Both the coordinators there had their surgeries with Dr Almanza without issue, but had no problem scheduling me with Dr Garcia instead when I said I would be more comfortable in a hospital setting for the first couple days. They are very nice and get back to me quickly with answers to all my questions. Only thing I wonder about is the pre op diet. I was told only 5 days for Almanza and also 5 days for Garcia. My BMI is 43.7. I just wonder if anyone going through alma has been told 5 days. I am thinking I may try to do the full 2 weeks anyway. They sent me paperwork with a 14 day diet, but said only do the last 5 days. I don't want to get there and have some need to cancel or postpone it.
  14. Going with Dr Garcia, but not til Nov 5th. I've only heard good things so far.
  15. You look marvelous! Congrats! Keep it up. All your hard work is paying off! Thanks for sharing the pics.
  16. Also, who checks your levels to know if you have any deficiencies? Does the surgeon do that, or your regular doc?
  17. Great ideas. Looking forward to trying some.
  18. I think I will be going to the hotel part just as you are going to the hospital. Hope all goes well for both of us.
  19. Wow. That is a wide range. I was wondering about this too.
  20. I am also going with Dr Garcia Nov 5th. When is your surgery, AngelEyes?
