  1. THanks, I acutally have been using those Always one as back up with tampons... I feel I can't jut use on or the other right now. i will have to look into some of the others you suggested.. Hoping it lets up at least a little bit soon! I wanted a period so bad.. and now I'm thinking what was I thinking LoL. I have to look at the good that comes out of this! Thanks again
  2. Hey Ladies, So I have had PCOS for about 10 years... I haven't had a period in about that long..the only time i would get one is when my dr would have me take progesterone to force on on. But it wasn't a regular one on my own. I am a little over 2 1/2 months out and Monday I got my first real period on my own... this probably explains the sever moodiness the past few weeks that I couldn't figure out before. The last time I dealt with this was long I forgot what it was like. My only problem and question is how horribly bad it is! I know this is going to be TMI so i apologize ahead of time. I have to change my tampon less than once an hour.. and I"m using the strongest they come in.. I am even extra protecting and wearing a pad.. and am thankful cause its that bad. My boobs had been so sore to the touch the past week that even wearing a bra was uncomfortable. That has now passed. I am having such bad cramps and can't do anything becuase I don't want to be too far from home or the bathroom... My question is I know this is becuase of the PCOS and my body adjusting to being normal again. Does it get any better after a few cycles? I can't even remember what my periods were like when I use to get them, I know they were not this bad.. I called my Dr and they said there isn't anything they can do for me..I'm just so weak and worried about losing too much blood. Any advice from fellow PCOS er's or non that have eperienced this would be greatly appreciated. I'm at a lost.. my husband obviously can't understand and I feel bad that I have banned him from our bathroom and he has to use the guest one for now. LoL.
  3. So I am a little over 2 1/2 months out... and for the first time in at least 6 or 7 years I am under 300 pounds!!!! This is the greatest feeling ever! I have lost 66.4 pounds so far on my journey... I have a ways to go but this is more than I could have ever asked for
  4. I'm just thankful for a very understanding husband who knows to not be in my way right now. LoL... I'm hoping this doesn't last....I did go for a walk at lunch and it helped so maybe I just need to up my exercise if that's even possible for me right now... I already do hour long kickboxing/boxing classes and a boxing gym 3-4 times a week plus walking everyday.. but being that I work full time and by full time its about 50-55 hours a week and I am in school full time pursuing my MBA... ugh.. but if that will keep me from being grumpy... ahhh. sorry for the long rant. LOL.
  5. I am not weepy or extra emotional, just grumpy.. My poor husband LoL. I'm averaging about 50 grams a protein a day I haven't noticed that its been related to anything. It just recently started the last 2 weeks... Thanks for everyone's thoughts... If it continues I might give my Dr a call... Thanks
  6. I am about 2 1/2 months out and have been so grumpy the past few weeks. I have never been a grumpy bad mood type of person... I have had super bad road rage and things that never would have bothered me in the past get to me so easily! I'm wondering if anyone else has had these type of mood changes? I'm happy with my decision, so I'm not sure why I'm so easily irritated lately!!
  7. I'm in California, just at the other end I'm in San Diego!
  8. I think it is Dr preference. I had one and didn't have a choice! They put it in once I was already out.. so it was just in when I woke up. They had me keep it until the next day! I had to walk around the hospital with that hanging between my legs.. not the most comfortable thing.. They took it out the next morning before I was released. They wouldn't let me leave until I was able to pee on my own. I guess sometimes being put under puts your bladder to sleep and it takes a little longer for it to wake up.. I didn't have any issues once it was taken out... was just awkward to have in and feel getting taken out...
  9. Yes I hit a long stall at 3 weeks when my nut had me transition I had a 3 1/2 week long stall... it was very frustrating, but once it was done I lost 10 pounds in a week.. so it kind of made up for it. Just because the numbers aren't moving you are still losing inches. I haven't had a stall since and am thankful, but know I am due for one soon.
  10. I'm no where near my after.. but at a little over 2 month and down 62.8 pounds the difference is already showing....
  11. You are welcome and thank you
  12. I just filled in my information, anything else that pertained to codes and anything like that my Dr. completed. I did FMLA and used Disability while I was off work. At my Dr's office there was a rep I could call and ask questions to.. so maybe call your Dr and see what they recommend. My Dr. had to sign off on my FMLA paperwork for work and they submitted my disability forms for me once I was released from the hospital.
  13. Thank you And thank you for believing in me I know I can do it... I have all the motivation and supporters to help me through it...
  14. While the site of me in full length pictures isn't the greatest I want to be able to share my journey.. by the time I am done.. I want the reminder of what I once was.. what I will NEVER allow myself to be again. Seeing these full length pictures gives me motivation to keep going Plus on a site like this, I feel comfortable because there is no judgment, everyone has walked in my shoes in one way or another
  15. Surgery was Sept 14th... Day of pic and pic taken this morning.... Loving my new lifestyle!!! Only 153 more pounds to go!
  16. Thank you This is such a great feeling after such a long struggle!!
  17. I have the biggest losers scale, and its is the most accurate I have ever had. I weight myself fully clothes shoes on before a dr apt. The same as they do and they are pretty much the same. Sometimes mine sayd I weight about .2 pounds more at the dr... so its good
  18. And I feel absolutely amazing!!! I am down 61.6 pounds since my surgery day! Thanksgiving was not as tough as I thought. I had turkey with no skin, had a bite of a few other things and I was full and satisfied without sabotaging my eating for the day! This was the best decision I have ever made, my only regret is not doing it sooner. This not only saved my life but enhanced it in so many other ways. It is hard to describe how life changing this really is. I have a long way to go still but have had a great start! Just had to share how great I feel
  19. Im not sure what the difference is... my nut said calcium carbonate and not citrate... you may want to ask yours and see if the carbonate would be ok for you..
  20. I bought mine at costco, I got a big bag of sugar free calcium with vit D in them I take twice a day, once in the am and one in the pm.. taste like a tootsie roll... This is what my nut suggested.. http://reviews.costco.com/2070/11670042/kirkland-signature-kirkland-signature-sugar-free-calcium-chews-180-chocolate-flavored-soft-chews-reviews/reviews.htm
  21. Thank you everyone for the compliments and encouragement. This is such an amazing journey and I've just seen the tip of the iceberg
  22. Thank you I think all the vitamins/calcium are making my hair and nails grow like crazy!! I love it though LoL
