  2. Every bodies pain is different, and some have nausea and some don't. Part of my process was to have a shrink dr interview and make sure you are mentally capable of handling surgery. What is your main reason for wls? What is your BMI? How is your overall health? It is my experience that some people don't follow the post diet , because they don't have will power and sabotage themselves , over eating and not giving your body time to heal will cause problems . I was back at work in 6 days , just no heavy lifting! Hardest thing for me was dealing with head hunger not physical hunger. But those cravings pass with time . The first couple of weeks after surgery was hardest for me, but it's getting better and easier each day! Make a list of things you can do if you lose weight, you will be surprised how bad you want to have it done! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  3. Do you weight your food , before you eat?if so how much? How far along are you? Post surgery? Chew , chew, chew, chew to consistence of applesauce before swallowing! Sent from my iPhone using VST

  5. Hello all! Sleeved on August 1st Started @ 315lbs Yesterday weighed in @ 258lbs ! That's 57 lbs down in 6 & 1/2 weeks Hard to get all the Protein in, I'm sick of shakes, and that whey smell , just tired of it! Doing as much tuna and chicken that I can, but I'm afraid I'm gonna get burned out on that also. I work shift work so days and nights get mixed up, but only regret is I should have done it sooner! I can't wait to wear smaller clothes than I graduated from highschool wearing! Already lost about 10 inches from waist! Now my "skinny clothes are starting to fit loose! I love to got shopping but restraining self til at target weight of ..... 165lbs of twisted steel with sex appeal!!!!! Sent from my iPhone using VST

  14. Listen to your nut and drs diet! If you do go off deep end and cheat after surgery, you can damage surgery and get real sick, I was told it hurts to puke! I watched co worker do this and it scared me to stay on straight and narrow! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  15. I won't lie, it was tough! I was on preop diet and after surgery went 20 days before I tried soft foods! I did not have and to this day really dont have phyiscal hunger , but on the emotional side I could eat a*****e of skunk and ask for seconds ! It's getting easier each day ! 16. Once your sleeved your caloric count is recommended around 700 calories a day, this needs to be mostly proteins and very little carbs. Trick is to eat to live and then adjust your calories once you hit idea weight! If you intake fatty foods you will not get proper nutrition that your body needs. High carbs (sugars) are wasted calories! Once you are sleeved you (I) do not feel hungry phyiscally, I sometimes have to remind myself to eat! The emotional eating is main issue you have to deal with and keep that tiger I n it's cage! Never let it out again! My sleeve was on aug 1,2012 I'm down 55lbs and 90 to go! Good luck on your quest ! 20. "sometimes He calms the storm with a whisper , Peace be still, He can settle any sea but it doesn't mean He will. Sometimes He holds us close and let the wind and waves go by, sometimes he calm the storm, other times He calms His child!" This too shall pass! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  21. Big No NO! Adding liquids "drinking" while eating is the easiest way to stretch your pouch or sleeve! No liquids 30 mins before meal or 30 mins after ! Sent from my iPhone using VST

  23. Even with sleeve there are some malabsorption issues, just not as many as other procedures. And yes you can stretch your sleeve if you don't listen to your body and constantly over feed!! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  24. Walking and exercise is best thing , your body has to absorb the gas they fill your gut up with, it can take several weeks to work its way out! Sent from my iPhone using VST
  25. Just keep bottle of Water with you and sip it ALL day long! Keep a sip in mouth at all times , you will be surprised! 4 days out I really wouldn't worry about Protein right now, remember , your small stomach is still swollen and healing ! So you quantity it holds will be even smaller! Water will not stretch it and it goes right through. Clear fluids is all you need to concentrate on! 40 ozs a day! Also I found that crunching on ice helped get more in! Good luck! It should get easier each day! When I was 4 days out , 64ozs was no problem! Sent from my iPhone using VST
