  1. Oh yes I've done it a lot;)
  2. Oh my goodness! You are how I want to be!how did you do it! I am in 18-20 2 x tops 5-5 237lbs Gettin sleeved nov14
  3. I have only told my mom husband and sisters. I don't feel the need at this time to tell anyone else! My 8 yr old daughter is very overweight, and am just not sure how mentally this will effect her so I am choosing to not tell my kids. my in laws are big mouths with NO filter...lol..so I know if I told, they would speak freely to and around anyone including my kids! Probably without even knowing it! I don't think it's bad to tell or not to tell, I think everyone's life and support system is different that it is strictly a personal decision! I am very envious of those who can speak freely about all this! I'm sure it would be a heck of a lot easier than not being able to talk at all!
  4. Am trying to get ready for my surgery on November 14. I have never been a good exerciser but have high hopes that after surgery the pain I have with it will be better. So I have been looking on Craigslist and such sites for exercise equipment. I was really thinking a treadmill but there is so much out there I just wanted to get some more opinions. I live in a small town so not much here gym wise, and with 3 small kids gotta get it in when you can ...lol I do have a lower bmi (38) but have high bp and bad arthritis in my knees and lower back, so maybe some suggestions for those symptoms also;) I am only 31 so hopefully I will look and feel like it soon! Thanks for the help/ advice!
  5. Thank you everyone! I'm just so excited.
  6. Hi MsShaunaMarie, we are being sleeved the same day;) and I am also from Ohio! What part? Congrats on a date!
  7. Just had one of those ultrasounds done last week! They don't hurt! I actually prefer them to the abdominal ones because with those they have to push so hard because of excess fat. Well I have a cyst on my overies the size of an orange...my wls surgeon said he would remove it the same time he does my sleeve. This will be my 3rd surgery of this kind! If you have any questions feel free to private message me! I'm sure you have nothing to fear;)
  8. Hi I'm Jessica, I will be sleeved on November 14! No thanksgiving here but yet I think the best thanksgiving yet! I am 31 years old with 3 children, 8,3 and 2! Very busy around here;) I haven't told many people yet, but who does, are all very supportive! My husband is my #1 fan. Thank you to all for the great support on this site! I don't have really anyone to talk to so its nice to have this! ANy buddies out there?

  10. Use got the date and approval! Yayayayaya November 14 is the day I've worked so hard for!!
  11. Oh yes...lol....we're on a first name basis;)
  12. Am now waiting on my 2 nd insurance approval in 2 months! This time I'm just irritated since I was approved last time and it was there fault I had to do it again! If I was already approved why is it taking so long? And in the meen time my insurance guru told me there's only 1 slot left in november so l will most likely be done in December;( my busiest time at work to boot...I am a hairdresser.....it's all very frustrating when I was scheduled for October but insurance drops the ball;( Thanks for the vent;)
  13. Sorry stupid spell correct lol....alterna curl Creme
  14. I'm a hairdresser Moroccan oil is awesome! Also alterna curl Cree rocks! It leaves the hair soft unlike gel and eliminates frizz! It's the best product I have found for curly hair!
  15. That's a great idea! How much do u spend on it?
  16. I am 6 days smoke free! I think this may be the hardest thing I have ever done .....but sooo worth it for surgery! I've never wanted to quit because, well, i liked it, and when you quit you gain weight, and we all know we will do anything not to gain more weight! So I told my husband I will quit as long as I can have the sergery but the moment they say I can't have it, I will be buying a pack! I see the dr thurs so hopefully I will be smoke free for a long time!
  17. Omg! Yeah......THEY are the ones that make us obsessive and a little crazy by all the f%#^+* hurdles they make us jump through to get the damn surgery! Now u are being condemned for wanting an answer after you put all your money time and emotions into this for the last 6 months! Oh girl....you just got me really pissed for you! So what has come of all this?
  18. I LOVE this thread! Thank you all! You all look amazing......it gives all us Pre opps hope, inspiration, encouragement!
  19. Update.....I am still in...yay! I will be going to the hospital 1 1/2 hrs away but sooo worth it! They are gonna except all preop testing, but they will have to resubmit to insurance after I meet the dr. Which is on sept 27, then they want me to take 2 of there nut visits then surgery time! I am just so happy it's still this year! Even though I would have had it in oct at least it's still gonna happen! Thank you all for your support!
