  1. again,,, do you think you may need a fill.... cause even if you had snacks, you wouldn't need that many.....
  2. well that's a big problem for probably most of us, or we wouldn't need the band.... but if you're snacking, i would make sure it's nothing really soft, cause, it will go down easy, and would not satisfy you... maybe you're ready for a fill..... so dinner will stay longer, or your snack would be harder to finish. :phanvan
  3. my doc only had you on liquid 24 hours... i had no problem going to food,,, just remember to chew well, you will learn how fast you can eat, and how much you can take in... i had 1.8cc in i still need a pinch more... everyone is different. you just have to see how you can progress.... hope it helps...
  4. is there any chance your stomach pouched above your band, that happened to me i could eat anything.... had to have band replaced...it sounds really strange that there is no leak.... they check each time?? pull out the same amount they put in the time before?/ i wonder if there is a pouch in the tube leading to the band, like a bubble in your car tire.
  5. wow... i can't believe they make you go 6 days after with mushies.. my doctor says liquid that day, then normal...
  6. have you talked to your md about this??? i know for me, my stomach is much tighter in the am, so i know, i can't rush or eat big in am, plan for this. but as the day progresses, i can eat more... see if you need some kind of adjustment. talk to md.
  7. my dodctor never said to eat or not to eat. but, if you must eat, eat yogurt, or something that will empty quickly from your stomach. because, they need to fill and empty while taking pictures... don't eat to close to appointment either.. hope it helps.
  8. i would get the fill when the weight loss stopped.. i did get mine after 6 weeks cause, i felt i could still eat way too much. hope it helps.
  9. well,, i don't exactly know which has more benefits, but i get terrible rumbling, and diahrea,(sorry) with whey protein. i asked the md, he said that it more common to get diahrea with the whey comparing to soy, or others.. hope it helps.
  10. jodie.... how did you loose all the weight before the day of op??? impressed, and wondering... ro

greg, don't you think the customers are gonna wonder why it's taking over an hour for you to measure them for a bra???
  12. roro33 replied to paula's topic in The Lounge
penni, as pretty of a picture that sounds to be..... they measure under your breast, then around the breast that determines the number and size of the cup...they do it in your current bra... i'm sure they would adjust after trying them on too.... hope in Enlightened you... haha ps dylans mom,,,, i put my post, didn't know you had just said the same thing...
  13. roro33 replied to paula's topic in The Lounge
i just saw in the paper, jc penny is having a special with bras they said in the paper, there are people there to measure, and make sure you get the right fit... hope it helps.

underwires for me... if you go to a "bra" store, or a higher end store, they will measure you, and tell you what you should really be wearing... i just get a bunch at the store and try them on, see which one looks best...
  15. nana, there is a chance of numb nipples, but not in every case.... i would propable take numb nipples over back pain, and ones that give me black eyes when i run..... greag you kill me..... i never know what i'm gonna read in your posts....
  16. delarla, every time i read what you say....i laugh, you're a real pip... love to meet you some time.... of course when you're not doing the backward thingy
  17. sorry to hear the news about your port..... hope goes well with the revision....
  18. i could hardly walk , i can't even have though of sex.... but non the less. you band just doesn't stay around the stomach by gravity, it is actually stitched to the lining, and goes through the lining. so it would really be hard to move it or have it slip.. these doctores put these things in to stay... they don't want to "hope" they last.. they make them to last....
  19. katie.... hold a 5 lb bag of sugar.... 4 lbs is a lot.... we some time loose perspective when we have a lot to loose.... carry the bag of sugar and run around the house for a while... then put it down... see the difference..... great job..... nightingale2, i'll let you know how i do.... my fill is not till the 27th i've been at a stand still...
  20. greg, the music is playing, you know what that means right? ( speech has to end, going on to long..)hahahahahahhahh congrats to all, i don't know if i want to hug you all, or slap you all,,, i'm jealous... well not for long, i'm going for my 2nd adjustment jan 27...
  21. amoro i don't know which doctor you went to, but, bertha and abkin are usually the last wed of the month, you could always call the office where you go, and check the board here... i think there is a section for support groups... best wishes with the band... it was a great thing for me.... ro
  22. delarla.... i just noticed under your signature, it says port removal...what happened, did they remove it, and cap it, or replace it, or what???? just wondering.... thanks
  23. well, i think the holiday habits will be broken... once all the cookies and left overs are out of the house... it makes it much easier..... christmas day i always make so much extra.... ( the italian in me).... but i bought disposable trays, and separated to little gift take home packs.... i remember my weight watcher instructor, better in the garbage than on your hips.... so i try to get rid of the extra in the house, cause it does go down real easy.... greg, glad you didn't go up the dress size... and kudos to you for almost getting to your 255 by december 25... i think that's how it went... your loss has been impressive to me.. i'll tell ya....
  24. well girls and guys, can you imagine how we would have all done without the band? in the journey of weight loss, we have mountains and valleys.... so as long as we all keep moving ahead, we reach our end goal..... hey, boy, that sounded so poetic....hahaha,,, only kidding.... how many holidays have you been able to get through with saying i gained a half pound or 3 pounds.... usually it could be 8 or 10.... so don't keep getting upset... just try to get back on track..... i look at it as a bonus that i didn't move up a dress size... best wishes to all.....
  25. how come the bad stuff goes down so easy...... don't feel a restriction when i eat that stuff... hahahaha
