  1. Got my surgery time for Tuesday! I have to be there at 5:30, surgery is at 7:30! I'm at Forest Park in Dallas with Dr. Kim. Excited!
  2. No, I haven't! Just dealt with it. I'm allergic to NSAIDS anyway, so no issues not taking them after surgery.
  3. Maybe that's what's going on with me too! I have had horrible back pain!
  4. Why do you think you may have caught something?? That's crazy! I hope you heal quickly! What surgeon/city are you??
  5. I am 31 and have the same height & weight as you. Wear an 18/20 pant & 2x tops. I'm scheduled 9/4!!
  6. Anyone else w Dr. Kim??
  7. They said I would know the day before surgery.
  8. I am all done with my preop things! I had stuff done on the 14th & 17th. I didn't have to have an EGD done. I don't know why? I am self pay though'
  9. I am too! On 9/4! When is yours?
  10. Only cheated once, today & I have no guilt. It was scrambled egg whites. How can I feel guilty about that???!!!
  11. I will be honest & say I did cheat today, day 6 of my liquid diet. I had 3 scrambled egg whites. I am not beating myself up about it. It could have been something much worse!!
  12. I am on the 4th in Dallas. I have been on 4 protein shakes daily since Tuesday. :-) good luck!
  13. Hat vitamins do you buy? I have the list of the ones I need, but it says they should be for bariatric patients, I can't go to the health food store and take my booklet with me & get those? What did you get? Where did you get them?
  14. I am a total sweet person, loveeeee sweets. Love my Dr Pepper, love anything sweet. My husband too. I have been told by multiple people that sweets taste horrifically over sweet after surgery. Even on the pre op diet (day 6), this SF jello is starting to taste über sweet. I don't drink the mio, or kool aid, but I can imagine those would taste awful. Funny thing is, as much as I love sweets, I can take them or leave them, I don't HAVE to have them. For me, I haven't mourned the loss of anything, bc I know that the majority of what I eat, I will be able to have again, just in a smaller portion. My daughter is lucky, she's 9 & bc of my surgery when we do go out to eat we will get an adult sized meal, but we will share & take the leftovers home. :-)
  15. I have told about 20 people, closest friends & family. They are all supportive. I don't feel that my mom is as supportive though, she is tall & thin, always has been. I was adopted so I didn't get her body type. I told 4 of my 15 coworkers, plus the HR person bc she is who I asked for insurance purposes. :-) tell the people you feel comfortable with.
  16. I am having surgery September 4, and going back to work the 12th but it's bc I can sit most of the day & not do anything strenuous.
