Tiff187 got a reaction from mylifeinpink in I Never Expected This Pain!
It only lasts for a week or two. People will get on here and be a miracle of science and say they had no pain and tell you all about their stories (like you care, you have a question!) but what you're feeling is totally normal. Go easy on yourself, don't worry about those toys, and let your body heal. And please don't listen to the folks on here who brag about not needing pain medicine. Take your pain meds as you need them and try to stay ahead of the pain if you can.

It's a proven fact, licking crackers will satisfy your cravings, reduce your head hunger, tone up saggy skin, prevent hair from falling out, and make the whole world accept WLS and take us all into there bussom. What it won't do is get a visual of Gustavo wearing assless chaps out of my head. That's there forever.

A little bit of tough love here, but let's add things up: he's a drug user (yes, marijuana is a drug), he's cheated on you, he's emotionally abusive, he's controlling and doesn't want you to spend time with your family, he's a financial disaster, he'd rather you be big than thin, he's emotionally erratic, you're waiting for him to physically hurt you before you can divorce him, and you think giving him children will help things. Seriously, how many red flags do you need here?

@Lissa-Thanks for the support! Broth is what I'm doing most of the time aside from water. I haven't had any trouble from it yet.
@Guatavo-I can understand why it might be frustrating, but I think the others have a good point. Each surgeon has different "rules", and some are harder to tolerate than others. I'm sure 99.9% of us stay on our prescribed diet but still have issues that arise.
@DEZ1975-Thank you for your post. It's nice to know I'm not alone!
@Tracey-OMG thank you so much for responding. I'm having a difficult time taking everything in too. I really have no appetite so I force myself. Odd, because I thought I would be really hungry! Is there a way to "friend" people on here? I would really love your guidance as I progress through this.
@NDNRN-Thank you for your perspective. I'm a logical thinker and that makes sense to me.
@annab-Thank you for responding. I have noticed that some people have quick tempers on here. I wish I'd had your doctor!

@Guatavo--just licking the popsicles. Or taking small bites of jello.
@Enigmachik--Thank you for being so supportive. You're right, I did tons of research before my surgery and thought I was going into it pretty well educated, but now I think I went in blind. I had no idea about cold stuff bothering me. Now I worry about switching to the heavy liquid diet on Tuesday--I don't know how I'm going to drink my protein shake warm. Yuck.

Campbell's cheesy broccoli cream soup is good. I. Just tried it tonight. You have to blend it before you warm it but it has good flavor. I was surprised, or I am just really hungry tonight!
