  3. My preop was just shakes, broths, and water. I could not eat food at all.
  4. I was sleeved Aug 30. Went back to work Sept 4th. I am pain free and incisions are almost healed.
  5. Just to get a general idea...what was your post op diet? Mine is 2 weeks liquids, 2 weeks pureed, and then solids. Is that pretty much everyone?

  10. The basic part of the surgery is weight loss. We are all motivated by it. What a bout a permanent thread that everyone could post for instance I would say...Black male, surgery Aug 30th, was 369, today 363. 2 weeks from now I could update it and keep it going. Is there already something like that I am not aware of?
  11. People on the boards are telling people that muscle weighs more than fat. That is the most wrong statement there is. a pound of muscle weighs the same a a pound of fat. Muscle is more dense and takes up less space, but weight is weight.
  12. Surgery Thursday Aug 30th, back to work today. (Sept 4)
  13. Started my preop diet Aug 25th. Weighed 385. Had surgery on Aug 30th. (yes I was suppossed to start a couple days sooner, but it was hard) I did cheat one day and had a cheeseburger and fries. On Aug 30th before surgery, I weighed 369. Today I am at 363. Had surgery Thursday, came home Friday, walked a mile Saturday, walked 2 miles Sunday, walked 3 miles yesterday. I am almost pain free in my abdomen. craving food, but the thought of throwing up scares me from trying anything. I have only thrown up like 3 times in my life. 39 year old male by the way. Everything is going smooth and easy. Oh, and I am back at work today and having no issues. One thing I will say is I have done everything the doctors have asked. Protein shakes, creamed soups, water, sugar free jello and pudding, and thats pretty much it. I can't see into the future, but for now, this was very easy and pretty much painless.
  14. On your profiles, is starting weight your weight on surgery day or at the beginning of pre op diet?
