Thank you all for your responses. OTR - ha ha I alomst forgot about the TSA ..not looking forward to them.. I haven't flown since 2007 so I am not sure how horrible it really is besides what I have heard on the news in regards getting patted down or going through a machine where they can see all of you haha it will be an experience. I will also make sure to read airline rules to ensure I do not pack anything I am not allowed to have. Thanks for reminding me!

Hi All, As weird as this may sound, was your luggage ever searched when crossing the border? I am not looking to do anything illegal per say but just curious since I found a list of things you can bring in and amounts so I was just curious how strict they really are, for example are they really going to search my luggage and take a camera becuase I am only allowed to bring one in. I just do not want to do cause any problems Thanks in advance! -Gina

$4700 for Dr.Garcia - This includes 1 night pre-op in hotel , 2 nights in hospital and then 2 nights back at the hotel. Best of luck with your choice

Just remember that you are doing this for you. If you really want it, you can always go alone although I know it is better to have someone by your side. I hope everything works out

This is what the paper work I have says, but I am going to start around 2 1/2 weeks before just to be on the safe side and I am only going to do liquids. START THIS DIET 7-14 DAYS PRIOR TO SURGERY Use any prepared canned or powdered Protein drink. You may purchase these in any health food store or many grocery stores. Please be sure it contains at least 15 grams of protein per serving. 1 Protein Drink at Breakfast 1 protein drink at lunch Dinner: salad with Protein (chicken, fish, egg, etc), small amount of low fat dressing, or fat free dressing or olive oil and vinegar. 1 protein drink in the evening if needed You may also take 1 Metamucil capsule per day if needed for hunger. Start this phase 3 days before surgery: Take a laxative (any laxative that you usually use). Take only Clear Liquids after that. This consists of broth, Jell-o, sugar-free juice, any clear liquid You may have nothing to eat or drink after the midnight preceding surgery or 8 hours prior to your surgery. If you are a Same Day Surgery arrive with an empty stomach. If you are coming in a day prior you may have dinner but nothing after midnight

I am glad your date was available, that is awesome! Is it still the Nov 1st date or did you move it to something sooner?

Thank you all I have decided to stick with my original plan and go to Mexico. I purchased my plane tickets yesterday and I am turning this into a surg-a-cation.. so I am in CA for 4 days prior to surgery so now I am looking for things to do in LA and San Diego lol

Have no worries it is just something I am sure they have to ask. I actually just made one to have since I am going to Mexico (Nov 7th), the funny thing is I am not worried about the surgery (probably because I have had queit a few already in general) but I do not like flying.
