  1. That's so great! You look beautiful. And that color is amazing on you. I love saturated colors like that!
  2. You are so not alone. Trust me. It's funny how walking into a store and someone catches the door for a skinny person then when they bump into me they act surprised. I'm like really?! I'm kind of hard to miss. I'm not talking down about myself but I'm not going to ignore my reality either.
  3. "You have such a great personality." Ugh. *insert eye roll here*. Lol. I want to be seen for the special, awesome chick that I am. I'm tired of being invisible in spite of my size.
  4. Call your doctor. It's frequent, it's more than can be tolerated and you're post-op. we Sleevers have to be hyper aware of post-op complications. If its a leak, the sooner you find it, the better. If its gas, that's easy. But if it were me...I would get checked.
  5. I'm sure you are. I have my date but technically I'm not approved yet. They submit on the 6th and I am scheduled for 11/20.
  6. BostonGeorge...of course you're going to have anxiety. It's so totally normal. And yes...I'm starting to get anxious too and mine is not until 11/20. When we all started this process, the surgery was way off in the horizon. But now it's within site. And once we gt on the losers bench, it's going to seem like a whirlwind. It's a long process but its so worth it. We are truly here for you and it's going to be amazing. Let us know anytime you need support. That's why we're all here.
  7. Everyone...welcome to the November Sleevers Club!! Come to our thread! We have tons of helpful and supportive Pre-Sleevers in there. Cannot wait to hear your progress. I'm having mine on November 20th.
  8. That's awesome. I can't wait to do one myself.
  9. Lets keep it in here. The November 2012 Sleevers folder. We can start a post-op thread on nov 1. And also kick off our New Years contest.
  10. Will do. Ordering it on Friday when I get paid.
  11. I found this site called egg whites international. I came across it in oxygen magazine. It's basically 120 calories per cup. It has 26g of protein with no fat and no cholesterol. It's pure egg whites without the potential for salmonella. So basically it's unflavored protein. I have found tons of protein shake recipes for it. A lot of athletes use it as well as people seeking weight loss, etc. it comes in 1/2 or full gallon containers. You buy a pump to put on it and keep it in your fridge. I'm gonna give it a go and use it to control the sweetness of my shakes. Can't hurt to try. I am going to use it as the liquids and add other protein flavors in shakes to up the protein level. I also came across a recipe that used cocoa powder, stevia and egg whites. Maybe add peanut butter or almond butter. Like I said....can't hurt to try.
  12. Keep on trucking. You will get there.
  13. Thanks chad!
  14. You know, I keep reading about stalls. Especially on the contest threads. I have an idea. So that we November Sleevers stay absolutely motivated no matter what the dang scale says...lets have our contests be two parts. Yes the scale matters as it does pertain to our goals of healthy weights, BMI's an such, but it is not the only way to measure success. We will have times of no weight loss but still our bodies will change. So that being said I propose we have goals for pounds lost/final weights AND for inches lost. That second one will be hard to gauge. But it would still an important motivator for us.
  15. Well said fun size. I agree wholeheartedly. We are typically codependent people. Which giving to others is not a bad thing, but it is not healthy when we do it to the point where we become a detriment to ourselves...be it emotionally, physically and/or psychologically. Just take this one day at a time and those that really matter will be there to weather whatever storm comes our way. Hugs to everyone.
  16. I was wondering how you were doing chad...how goes it? I'm not post op but I plan on weighing and measuring everything. I want to establish best practices while I'm so restricted. Make sense?
  17. What a difference two weeks makes huh? Great job!
