  1. Ha! You look great! Congratulations!
  2. Ack! Were they worried that you were getting too fat? Sorry, but people who offer this kind of "support" really tick me off. Where was the concern when you were eating yourself to death? No offense to your family.
  3. My pulmonary appt and two sleep studies took longer than anything else. Very frustrating.
  4. I believe my surgery date will fall sometime in late June or early July. I've been waiting a long time, as you can see in my signature. I will be swapping my tissue expanders for implants in early June and as soon as I recover from that surgery, I'll be more than ready to be sleeved!
  5. At least you were in the shower. Best wishes!
  6. I love this post. I'd like your permission to use a lot of what you've written in my own FB post once I'm sleeved. Your words really hit home and you've effectively explained your position and laid down the law concerning what kind of feedback you will tolerate. I give you so much credit for your candor and honesty.
  7. I had some breathing tests where I sat in a clear enclosure with a mask and had to breathe in and out or hold my breath when the tech signaled. . Nothing hard or invasive. No treadmills (thank God) and nothing painful. My sleep study was also part of the pulmonary clearance. I actually had two sleep studies - one without a CPAP and one with a CPAP.
  8. Evolve is a new one from the Muscle Milk people. It has monkfruit, stevia and cane juice and it tastes really good. 110 calories, 12g protein, 14g carbs, 3g fat, and 5g fiber.
  9. Congratulations! I have tissue expanders now, post-mastectomy, and will be getting my implants either just before or just after my sleeve later this su mmer. I voiced my concern to my plastic surgeon about my upcoming weight loss and how might it affect my new boobies, and he said, "Don't worry - they're not going anywhere!"
  10. Dr. Trivedi said that the rest of my clearances should still be valid, but I will most likely have to see Dr. Lemansky again before we submit to insurance this summer.
  11. Sometimes - depends on your nutrition needs. He's certainly a character. People either love him or hate him! He's an excellent doctor, either way.
  12. I am also with Dr Trivedi. I'm in Rensselaer. I've had some delays (see below), but I've been in contact with Dr. Trivedi regularly and I agree he's awesome. I have not yet had to deal with the lady who replaced Dawn. Dawn and Nate were very nice and helpful. I agree that Dr. Lemansky is an acquired taste! When I saw him, he had a student with him, so he offered up lots more small talk and information, probably for the student's benefit. At one appointment, I was in the waiting room and he came out from a side door, to feed the fish in his gorgeous aquarium. He was practically singing, "Good morning, babies! Daddy;s coming to feed you!" It was pretty loud for a medical office and I had to giggle.
  13. Very nice! Congratulations!
  14. Great job! You look fantastic! Congratulations!
  15. Not sure of the exact counts. There are lots of recipe calculators online - I think MyFitnessPal has one. The chickpeas and tahini would be the sources of protein.
  16. Me, too - this stuff is so good! I just bought some roasted red peppers for my next batch. Swapping the cucumber for the roasted red peppers.
  17. Brick House Hummus 2 cans garbanzo Beans (chickpeas), drained ½ cup tahini ½ cup extra virgin olive oil juice of two lemons ½ bunch cilantro ½ cucumber, peeled and cubed ½ cup sweet pickle juice 1 tsp. garlic powder ½ tsp. each salt and paprika Combine in blender or food processor and process until smooth. Thin with a little Water, a tablespoon at a time, if needed. Delicious.
  18. The CRAB dip sounds delicious! Autocorrect likes to call my honey "Homey," so I can relate!
  19. I had to see what all the fuss was about. Hot crap dip doesn't sound so good!
  20. Odd that Amazon hasn't charged my card yet. Anyone else notice this? I ordered on the 19th.
  21. That's why I bought 2 cases of vanilla. I love to add a couple drops of extracts or flavorings: almond, butter, maple, etc. And, yes, the vanilla is great in coffee!
  22. No, I don't work for Amazon or Premier. Just sharing a good deal that was shared with me! Usually $19 a case! Free shipping with $25 order. I just ordered 4 cases! vanilla and chocolate available.
  23. I can't wait until getting dressed isn't a crap shoot. Can I point my toe and get it into the leg hole of my underwear on the first try? Will I need to throw my pants on the floor and kick my way into them? Will I dislocate my knee trying to get my socks on? Funny but not so funny. Someday I'll laugh at it! Today's not that day...
  24. I can't wait to NOT see women on Biggest Loser who are smaller than me, at their heaviest.
  25. This is UNFAT Tuesday to many!
