  1. Hi Everyone! How are you? Surgery went well, my doctor said there was a lil more scar tissue than anticipated. The first night was rough with the waves of nausea, but a little Zofran cleared that up. Got up on Saturday, washed up, went for a walk and I was pooped. Back to bed I went for a few hours until my family came to visit. Took another spin around the hospital floor and I was done for the day...sleep was calling my name. I was released on Sunday and all is going well. I have no appetite but I am making sure I get my fluids and Vitamins in. I'm walking twice a day, no driving yet. I've noticed that if I sit for more than an hour in one spot, I'm a lil stiff and sore when I get up. Yesterday, I braved costco with my dad. Again, I can home and took an hour nap. Each day it's getting better and better. The best decistion I've made was to have the revision surgery! First post-op is in August 1st. I'll keep you posted. Talk to you soon! MsE

  7. Before my appeal was submitted, they told me I needed to show proof that I was compliant with the diet and exercise portion. I sent in my unofficial transcripts for the yoga & boot camp classes I took. I also included a copy of a HMR food order that was placed. The food lasted forever. Besides the doctor let them know I am having difficulty with food because it's constantly getting stuck and although I exercise at times I do not due to joint pain in my hips and ankles.
  8. Thank you Chuckles. BTW, I have Anthem BCBS...anyone know about there appeal process?
  9. Hi Everyone! I was told I will have a written anawer by June 20th. Continued thoughts and prayers are appreciated! Thanks, MsE

  13. Congrats to everyone on being converted to the sleeve. I was banded April 30, 2010 and it has been the most trying 2 years of my life. I've been adjusted about 5 times and I have the hardest time eating ANYTHING! I've met with the doctor and he agreed the sleeve would be best for me. I told him it's hard for me to eat and I've just been dealing with it. But I've had enough, I want this thing out. Got a call from the insurance (BCBS) on Tuesday saying they denied me because they don't think I've done enough with the diet and exercise portion. They have also requested more information from the doctors office as well. However, if I can show that I've been working out and am on some sort of diet plan then she will resubmit my case. Positive thoughts I will be approved soon. I really need this surgery.
  14. Congrats on your approval! I got a call from my insurance today, they denid me. They have requested more information from the doctor. Can't say that I'm not a little it discouraged, but I'm keeping positive thoughts. I really need this revision.
