  1. Personally, I have found the EAS and Atkins the best. I did sample some of the unjury stuff at my preop class, it was ok. I do have some of the purple isopure in the fridge, but I'm scared to drink it. The little bits in the bottle kinda irk me...I have it in my mind that's it's going to be like drinking tapioca. I am now day 7 in my 14 day pre op diet. I have found that high protein soups that are drained, with just drinking the broth, is like a treat to me! Good luck!!!!!
  2. I have BC BS also. They took their sweet ass time for my approval. It got to be 4 weeks into it, and I started called everyday. They explained to me, everytime the doctor sends info to them, they have 14 days to decide. It starts over every time the doc sends in info, or the pre auth nurse needs info. I wasso frsutrated I was starting to get depressed. I started calling to much the reps knew my voice. I explained to one, I don't want to be a pain in the ass, but I am worried about my health, if I am on the fastball, you all should be too. Everyday that goes by, more money is spent on my conditions that this surgery could improve. I found a rep who went through all my records and started calling me, within a week I wa approved. You have to keep some pressure on the insurance companies. Just be nice everytime you call in, but follow up, follow up, follow up!!!!
  3. I am a week preop and have met a lot of people who have already had vsg. I keep hearing horror stories in the gas/poops/burps. I asked the doc and he said the dissolvable sheets from Pyazym (sp?) work really good. Have any of you all tried this? I am on the pre op liquid diet for two weeks...I have never had the poops like I do now...I'm scared it will be worse after surgery and hurt my stomach getting on and off the crapper so much!!!!
  4. EAS shakes, Atkins Advantage and Muscle Milk light have been the best for me so far on the 14 day pre op liquids. Oh Yeah shakes are thick and super sweet, but have a ton of protien.
