Thanks for the recommendation. I may have to check this out. I've been into audiobooks lately. I put them on my iPod and I can listen while I'm walking, etc. I think I'll check for this book on iTunes right now.

Welcome! Glad you're here. The 12th will be here before you know it. I don't have a pre-op diet, but I'm thinking I will probably do my own 4 week liquid diet...you know, just to prepare myself for what's to come. I know exactly how you feel w/the excitement! What a huge lifestyle change we're about to make.

Nope. Shouldn't be a problem. I take Lexapro and I had no probs getting approved. I'm scheduled for surgery on 7/25/07. Woohoo!!

I think these are great. I haven't been banded, yet, but I am preparing for my new lifestyle and am buying things slowly. These look like they would be great for work. I may have to get a few of these things. The salad Shaker thingy looks great, too. Thanks!

Congratulations! Wow. 2 years, huh? I know how you feel. I just found out this week that I was approved. It is going to be a wonderful journey. This site is great. Read as much as you can. It will prepare you w/just about e'thing you need to know.

I'm not banded yet, but I think you should talk to your doc about getting a slight unfill. And to at least get some water in in the meantime, have you thought about ice chips? Hope this helps.

All, Could you please pray for my finances? These past couple of months have been very rough for me. My car (which was paid off) caught on fire and was totaled. :confused: They're not sure what caused it. So, I had to get a new (used) car, which God totally provided for me. But now I have a car payment. Although it's not that much (less than $300/mo), it's still not a payment I anticipated. Prior to the car incident, I had moved into a brand new condo (NOV 06), so...things aren't as easy as they were. I'd appreciate it! Thanks!

I don't think you are silly at all for asking for prayer for your dog. Know that I am praying for you and your dog's recovery. I also pray that God take away the pain that he is in right now. I know you probably feel so helpless right now. Just like w/anything else we face, give it to the Lord. Blessings!

Goodness gracious! Yep, definitely sounds like the subconscious at work. That is great that you are so calm about it. I've had other surgeries before, but none of them have been lap. I don't usually get too nervous when having surgery, and thankfully I recover very quickly...so I'm praying this will be no different. I'm scheduled on a Wed and planning to go back on Monday. I have a desk job, so I should be okay. I didn't check your signature, but where are you from/having surgery?
