HEY EVERYONE! Hope all is going well. I have an appt w/my surgeon today and I'm excited. I'm not sure what the purpose of this is...I don't know if it's considered a pre-op b/c my date is so far away, but nonetheless, I'm excited. My appt is at 11, so I've gotta go get ready b/c it takes about 2 hrs to get to his office. I will update ya'll when I get back!

Guess what I bought today??? Yep. I have my very own Magic Bullet. Haven't used it yet, but I'm excited. I haven't even been banded, yet, but I'm getting prepared.

This is the viewpoint I've been struggling with. I'm a very private person, but I know someone else may benefit from the Band and my experience...I guess I need to push my selfishness (b/c that's what it is) aside... By no means am I ashamed. It's just hard for me to talk about s'thing that seems so personal. Who knows, this may become a new ministry for me...leading people to live healthier, fuller lives.

Ok...we know that we're all going to do extremely well w/the Band, thus, our appearances will be changing. How are you planning on responding to the questions? Will you be open about the Band? Will you be vague? I saw somewhere else on the site a response that I loved. When asked, one woman said (in essence) , "I've decided to take control of my health and habits." Isn't that great???? It says it all w/o getting too personal. Not that I'm ashamed to have WLS, but for me, I feel like this surgery is s'thing personal (like any other surgery I've had) and I will share only if I feel it necessary. Let me know your thoughts.

So do I!! I have a minor in Business Admin, too. Now ask me if I'm doing anything w/either of them? W/all the recent screw ups in healthcare, it seems I should be. (Side note: Did you hear about the lady in LA that died right in the ER?!?!?! She was vomiting blood and they wouldn't help her...wow. What's up w/that???)

I am so excited about my Band. I've already named her...Bandolina. She is gonna help me get healthy. I, too, am at peace about this. I know it will be a major lifestyle change, but that is what I want. At times, though, I still can't believe this is actually going to happen.

I ordered some samples of protein shakes and other stuff from Bariatriceating.com. My order should be in tomorrow or Thursday. I can't wait to start playing. As for pain meds, I am allergic to Percocet. I found that out after I had my breast reduction. That was not fun at all.

I see the calendar. It looks great! :)
