    Singing After Sleeved

Ok, I am a singer too. I lost 50 lbs in just 6 weeks and when I went out to sing again I definately noticed a differnce in my power. It just wasnt there anymore and it was so disheartening. I am sure it was because I was so sick for the 1st 4 weeks that I didnt feel like singing and I think I lost some of my vocal muscle. Didnt even know that was possible but Im telling you it is. So my advice to you is even if you dont feel like it use that muscle. I am now 8 weeks and I am working on it everyday and I sang last weekend and it was a lot better. Just goes back to that old saying, "use it or lose it". Good luck with everything. Its all still very worth it.
  2. I have 110 to lose and I have already lost 50 in 7 weeks.
  3. WOW, this is the same thing tht happened to me last night. I had my surgery on Aug 13th so I shouldn't have even attemted and egg. But I ate the white part of of boiled egg and chewed it really well. Then about an hour later I had chills so bad I ws shaking violently. My husband put 3 blankets on me and I still couldnt stop. It hurt bc I was so tensed up. He took my temp and sd I didnt have a fever but I was so scared. Then an hour later I warmed back up after taking my pain medicine. I dont know what it was but it was scary.

    Burping?

I was sleeved Monday and I have had the exact same experience. My fear is that it wont stop. My theory behind this is that everytime we eat or drink we take in a little air but it's more noticable because the size of our stomachs are so small now. When they were normal size our stomachs had the room to allow for some air without needing to come up immediately, now they dont. Right now the burping is painful. My only comfort is knowing it will stop hurting as the stomach heals, but I am so saddened at this realization that I will burp with every bite or drink for the rest of my life. If anyone knows this to be different, please tell me so.

    Surgery In 1Day 21 Hours!

You sound exactly like me. My surgery is 5:45 Monday and I didnt really stick to my pre-op either but plan to do all liquids today and tomorrow too. But I still have lost 8 lbs so far because it was still a far cry from what I normally ate lol. So whatever you feel Monday, know that there is someone else going through the exact same thing you are at the same time. I will think the same and maybe it will help make it better.
  6. Food for thought.....but I dont think men really seak to cheat, I think some women are out and about trying to see if they "still got it" and can turn the head of a married man. I'm sorry you were sick and I agree with everyone when they say it wasn't your fault. It wasn't! However, men also need attention just like we do. They just arent as vocal about needing it as we women are. Sadly what can happen is a husband who is put on the back burner for a little while for whatever reason is an easy target for another women who is likely just bored. All she really needs to do is say to him, "you are so hot" and his head will turn. It just will. I am NOT saying he isnt at fault, he is obviously but I can just bet you that he really didn't set out to do this. I have been with the same man for 21 years and we have survived infidelity and I am so glad we were able to do it. We are older and whole lot wiser now and I believe very strong now too. I believe we would have missed out on so many awesome things if we had just thrown in the towel. My advice is look back on everything you were together before this catastrophe and see if what was there is worth trying to save. If there were all kinds of other issues, than probably not but if he was kind and he was everything you wanted before, I believe that man is still in there he just had a REALLY big fall. I'm glad you are in counseling though counseling never helped us. What helped us was a whole lot of talking (fighting yes too, but fighting is still communication) and time. I hate that you are starting this journey with such an evil start but I wish you the best in whatever path you choose.
  7. I have been married for 16 years to a man I love SOOO dearly. I gotta tell you though, I would kill for more attention. I hope so much I get it after my surgery. My fear is that he will be worried everytime I walk out the door, afraid I might run away or something. I never would but I just dont want to have that kind of negative attention, that will probably make me mad. But if he is all flirty with me, I am gonna eat that up big time!

    Thining Hair

I already have thinning hair naturally so lets hope and pray that I dont lose it all. But I already wear extra hair and have for a lot of years now, so if anyone has any questions on that, hot me up or I have a blog on the Women's Hair Loss Project website.

Up And Down, Up And Down Emotions

So Tracey, how do you feel today after starting you pre-op? I dont start mine until the 23rd of July and I'm doing exactly what you did, eating like I'm on death row and getting my last meal, except I've been doing it like all day everyday. I'm just wondering what I'm in for when I start.

    Miss My Soda

HopeThruFaith has the right idea. If you take any beverage and freeze it and then mix it up in the blender and make a slushie, the tiny ice pieces can mimic the feeling of carbonation in your mouth. This is what some of us miss the most. But now instead of tiny bubbles filling up our stomachs with air, its just ice melting, no big deal. Just avoid the big brain freeze!

    I mean........ seriously??

I have 3 gorgeous daughters and a pool. I dont want them to be embarrased of me when they get a little older. I want to feel like I look OK when I am out there with them and thier friends. Ya know?

No Longer Hot? Omg This Is Awesome!

Yay!!! I'm so excited for this to happen to me. I am supposed to have the sleeve in a couple of months, and I gotta tell you, I would do it just for the loss of sweating constantly alone. It is the most embarrasing thing ever. Thank you so much for sharing. Before hearing of this added bonus I was starting to get really scared of having the surgery.
