  1. I just came in to search about how many post surgery folks are into juicing! I watched Joe's movie today, and am really motivated! I am only 3+ months out, so I will be adding protein in... any other good tips? My juicer arrives tomorrow! Kimmie
  2. 10 more pounds and I'll join you!!! Congrats!!!! Kimmie
  3. Yes, I was sad to hear that he's leaving! I sent him an email and true to form he said I could email him with any questions or concerns right up until he leaves. So glad he was my surgeon!! I think he is returning to Beirut. I know the other docs are good, but dr. Alami just rocked! Kimmie
  4. I had a tummy tuck in 1999, and then had my son in 2007. I had a really good surgeon, and not only did it bounce back after my baby, it's flat right now after losing 50 pounds!! I am very happy to still be seeing great benefits from that surgery. I had it after losing 90 pounds the first time... Kimmie
  5. I take it for pain from a motor vehicle accident. It didn't interfere with surgery and is on the approved meds list for after! Good luck!! Kimmie
  6. I was surprised to notice the difference in my big soaking tub too!! This girl loves her bubbles... it's actually my favorite thing about our new house, and now it's more comfortable than ever!! :smilingface (52): Kimmie
  7. At our pre-op class the nurse said, "well, not everyone who went back to soda regained their weight, but everyone who regained their weight went back to soda.." That was enough to cure my cravings, though I was not a big soda drinker. I do not want to fail this, and don't want to find out if this would work for me or not... Kimmie
  8. Preop and post op for 4 weeks, but I have also had previous clots... Kimmie
  9. Hang in there... It gets better, I promise! I am 6 weeks out tomorrow and felt yucky for a while in the beginning too... Just try to get your fluids in and keep trying the protein when you can... The fluids are the most important thing and the nausea gets worse when you're not hydrated... We are here for you! Kimmie
  10. checking in... I am doing ok! 6 weeks out tomorrow and down almost 30 pounds. All my clothes are way too big! lost like 4.5 inches off waist, boobs, and hips!!! So excited! Kimmie
  11. I had to do classes, but there was no time attached to them.. I think I had to take 3 classes on healthy lifestyle and nutrition and info about the surgery then about a week before my surgery I had another group class for pre-op. Good luck in your process! I love my Kaiser team! KImmie
  12. You are sooo close! You look beautiful!! Great job!! Kimmie
  13. You are sooo close! You look beautiful!! Great job!! Kimmie
  14. Hi there! I am a newbie who was sleeved by Dr. Alami at SSF on 12/19/11!! I am feeling pretty great and seem to be in the groove. Nice to meet you guys! Kimmie
  15. Awww, sweetie, so sorry you are going through this and hope the stent is just what you need... We are all pulling for you! Kimmie
  16. Yep, me too! right up to the top... Kimmie
  17. I was 256 the day of surgery, and wearing 20-22. Now I am 5 weeks out next Monday weighed 230 this morning, and am in my size 16's!!! Last time I lost weight I got down to 168, and wore a 10.. I am 5'3" Kimmie
  18. 251 day of surgery, 12/19/2011, and 232 now. Best NSV was trying on a dress from the back of my closet that had always been too small and zipping it up with ease... It is a size 16!!! Down from mostly 22's. Scale is stalled, so NSV's rock! Kimmie
  19. I made a pasta-less lasagna with hamburger and chicken, olives and ricotta/provolone cheeses and a good sauce! Measured out my half cup.. And it sat really well! Next time will remember to add spinach.. K
  20. They don't do bariatric surgery at Geary, just SSF!
  21. Adding to the basketball team from 12-19-2011!!! Love my sleeve family!!! Kimmie
  22. You'll be in South SF, right? There are a bunch of hotels near the airport and south of it... Should be safe and close! Call the office and ask what they might recommend... They are all so sweet and helpful, especially Joyce! Good luck! I had my surgery there with Dr Alami 4 weeks ago today! Kimmie
  23. Hi my surgery twin!! I had an amazing dinner of 6 boiled shrimp with a tiny bit of mayonnaise and Greek yogurt to make shrimp salad, and half of a sandwich thin toasted! So happy for real food!! Kimmie
  24. Two nights for me... My surgeon said I could go home after the first night, but I asked to stay another night... I was glad I did because I had an allergic reaction and broke out in hives, and would have had to rush back. The. Ext day I was ready to go home. Kimmie
  25. I am in a stall too, and the scale has even gone up a little.. so frustrating. Glad to know it's normal, but can't wait for it to MOOVE!!! Had my post op checkup on Friday and no downward movement since. Also went to mushies, so that might be messing with the works too. I don't know what I would do without these message boards... I would probably go nuts thinking I had somehow done something to screw this up or that I would be the one person who would only lose 15 pounds after surgery. Back to working my sleeve... have a good one everybody! Kimmie
