UHC is going to pay for the surger. I am not going to the Molding Clinic, I dont even know what that is. UHC did take a long time for approval. Let me know if you have any other questions.

This is such a good topic. For me I had mixed emotions about telling anyone because I wanted no negative feedback. I told my husband and 2 daughters, my boss (who I really didnt want to tell but she needs to approve my leave) and 2 friends. So far even the boss has been very supportive. I wonder what folks will say when I do have the surgery and start to lose weight and I wonder how long I plan to keep the band my secret. Did any of you find you didnt mind talking about it after the fact???

Teresa, Glad to hear you finally got some wheels. Remember my daughter totalled my car right after yours. Well I went and bought me one of those new 2005 Chrysler 300. It is a nice roomy car and surprisingly I use to get 300 miles on a tank of gas in my '92 Camry, I get 275 in this one. Not bad going from a 4 cylinder to a 6. The only thing is I HATE having a car note -- had been without one for a while. But oh well I guess I was due a new one soon any way. That Camry had 199,900 miles on it but never ever left me on the road stranded. Usually only need the maintence things dones to it. I'm having a moment -- I MISS MY CAR!!! Oh, my who said that :guess :eek :guess :eek

Yeah Terrie! I finally found a DC connection. Dr. Brodsky is my doctor as well. I am scheduled for surgery on March 16. Great that you decided to go Lapband rather than the other procedure. I think this is less evasive. I had also considered Dr. Fullum but as I looked into it more I decided to do the lapband. Well it sounds like all of you are doing a really good job. I have heard that you hit plateaus so perhaps that's what's been happening for some of you but you will need to stay on target with the exercise and diet and then it will pick up again. At any rate I sure do have a lot of folks to look up to.

Betty, I'm beginning to get it now how Greg works. He is in the mix even if it aint a mix he should be mixing. I got it, I got it!!! Bless his heart, perhaps we should get him a bra and some socks but then again he knows so much about this subject he might already have one or two of his own. Or Greg do you claim to be one of those bra extractors? My hubby claims he was an expert at that at one point in his life!!LOL!!!
