  1. Hey Folks, I got my approval letter in the mail yesterday :banana :banana :banana I cant believe it I'm on my way!!! Now all I have to do is calm down and wait for the doctors office to open so I can ask him what's next. You all have been so supportive and I tell you I needed that since I've been waiting since Oct. Thank you, thank you , thank you.
  2. Thanks Jamie, Good luck to you too and I hope your wait wont be much longer.
  3. Well, I hope your wait has not been as long as mine. The doctors office submitted my paperwork to UHC in October. I called them on Jan 3 to get a status and they told me it was at review board level. So hopefully I will hear something soon. Good luck to you.
  4. Samy, Glad to hear everything went well for you. Now you are on your way. Good Luck to you!
  5. Jonathan, You should have no problem when you get banded. At least you already have proven to yourself that you really know how to diet and exercise. What's that saying "Twice a charm". Go get em tiger!
  6. Adorable little girl. You're looking good too a lot different than your avatar.
  7. Samy, I hope all is well with you. I cant wait til I can tell someone at least that I have a surgery date!!! Good luck to you.
  8. Alex, You look fantastic!!! What a great job!!!
  9. Hi Sue, Welcome! You have made some remarkable progress in your weight loss. That's great! The folks here in this forum have so much information. I haven't been banded yet but I am so ready. Can't wait to tell folks about my journey.
  10. Audrey, I wanna be like you, please, please. You look great!
  11. Alex, I have asked the wish fairy to grant me one wish... that you have no drama in the New Year. Hope you have a good one!!!
  12. No, no, don't do that to me otherwise I'm gonna turn back into the little hairy thingy I was before. :eek
  13. DeLarla, I guess I should be a little computer savy. I managed a team of computer support staff (helpdesk and systems engineers). So to be on top of my game I had to stay current in all types of technology so my engineers couldn't use the excuse of not being able to help support staff. At any rate we had a high customer satisfaction rating. Not bragging I just enjoy what I do.
  14. Well now that I'm getting a little use to you all I figured it might be time to show my face in the place. As for the creating the avatar is was a little bit of a challenge. I had the .jpg picture of myself which I pulled into Microsoft Word then I resized the picture cause it has to be 50 X50 pixels. Then when it was small I copied it and pasted it into Microsoft Office Picture Manager and saved it and a .png file. I am sure other graphic packages could have done this faster I just had to use the tools I had. Hope this works out for you gals that are trying to post your pictures.
  15. I am trying to see if my picture of me is working. I hope so. I'm finally coming out.
  16. I'm in like flint with the water challenge. I definitely got off the water wagon during the beginning of the holidays and replaced regular water with thunder water (oops). But now that I am challenged I am definitely gonna start drinking my water like I'm suppose to! You know I look to all of you for guidance on the right things! And so far all of you have been a great inspiration.
  17. Rica, Thanks for sharing the pictures. That was the best Christmas money you could have spent on yourself. You look G R E A T!
  18. Ryan .... Give me a warning when you have a story like that cause I cant be seen crying at work. I lost my mommy this past March so Christmas was nice but would have been better with her there.
  19. Well, my curiosity is up. Sounds like it will be fun and I haven't even got banded yet.
  20. Leatha, You look fabulous. Good looking family too. I hope you and yours had a wonderful Christmas.
  21. Thanks Betty and Leatha, I am hoping this will be a belated Christmas gift.
  22. Hi All, Guess what, I got an email from my doctor this morning. He said that the insurance company is going to make a decision after Dec. 27 so I need all of you to keep your fingers crossed and say prayers. As all of you may remember I have been waiting now since mid October. I am hoping to get the ball rolling in January. Gee that would be a great birthday present as my birthday is Jan. 30. At any rate say a Christmas prayer for me that I will get approved.
  23. Penni, That is a BIG tree!!! Beautiful decorations. Can you come to do mine too???
  24. So Sorry Teresa, I feel your pain. My daughter came home from college on Dec. 10 and started working for the holidays that Saturday morning. I usually let her drive my car I use to go back and forth to work. On Sunday evening on her way home from work I got a call she was in an accident. All folks involved seem to be ok but my car was totalled. I have attached a picture. Needless to say I was not very happy but burying a car is better than burying your child. Hope you feel better
  25. Marie, Thanks, I may have to take you Texas gals up on that. And really I wont feel too far from home since I proclaim I am the #1 Dallas Cowgirl!!!!! You all sure know how to make a girl feel welcomed.
