  1. I think that you should contact your doctor especially since you are coughing through out the night. I was told that is a definite sign that your band is to tight.
  2. I have been doing hot coffee in the morning also cuz I heard that drinking something hot loosens up the band.
  3. I also forgot to add that I tend to burp a lot and I can feel liquids and food sitting in my chest for a few minutes. I went and got some pineapple juice to keep at home and at work, but I am assuming that this will get better.
  4. I was wondering the same thing about my fill. I got a fill on Monday and I am only able to get very little soft foods down however I am not hungry either. Have I reached my soft spot? Whenever I drink something it tends to sit in my throat and gurgle for a second but each day gets better.
  5. Please excuse the double posting!!! I have Cigna and they do cover fills. They used to require pre authorization every three months but luckily they stopped doing that. The fills are treated as a specialty visit/co-pay.
  6. I have Cigna and they do cover my fills. They used to require authorization every 3 months but they stopped doing that also. The fills are treated like a specialy visit/co-pay.
  7. Congrats!!! I reached onderland also last month and it is terrific. By the way we have the same surgeon.
  8. I also made it to ONEderland last Friday but unfortunetly I just gained a couple of pounds. My goal was to be there by this Friday so I have until Friday to get the pounds back off to still reach my goal. I was barely in ONEderland but it is a very amazing feeling and accomplishment. Congratulations and keep it up!!
  9. My doctor advised between 1000-1200. I would not loose weight if I only ate 800 calories a day.
  10. My surgeon told me that the relationship between the patient and surgeon is very important. You should find a new doctor and just start all over again. You will do even better this time.
  11. I ate a cheeseburger at a picnic that I went to because there was nothing else that I wanted. It took forever for me to eat it and it was not really worth the work. I had been craving one and one was enough. I do longer have the desire for another one. If you are going to eat one with the bread I would recommend toasting the bun first.
  12. I thought that it was just me. I have the forum saved as a favorite but when I tried to access it, I was sent to a search forum.
  13. When we go out to eat (my son and I) we always split the entree and he loves the fact that he will get the biggest portion. I have not had any problems eating chicken but I have a very hard time eating eggs.
  14. I stay between 1000-1200 but there are days when I don't eat more than 800. Every once in a while I will allow myself a high calorie day (1400-1500) but I follow it with a low calorie day. (800)
  15. I am going to Disneyworld next month and I have a layover in Atlanta. I was supposed to get a fill at the end of this month but I have decided to delay it until I return. I am afraid of my band swelling plus I really want to enjoy my vacation, eat a little and not count calories.
  16. I had my surgery on 1/21 and I have lost a total of 46 pounds and this includes what I lost on the pre-op diet.
  17. I am doing very well also. I will ge betting my third fill at the end of the month but I already have restriction, especially in the morning. I can fill my chewable vitamin go down. I try not to eat more than 1200 calories a day and I definetly don't eat as much with each fill. I have learned that going out to eat can be a waste of time for me unless I share my food with someone.
  18. I go there all the time to eat from their salad bar. I also like their turkey reuben.
  19. I was told to eat from 1000-1200 calories a day and I have consistanly loss every week since having my surgery. Some days I have a hard time getting to 1000 especially when I eat fish.
  20. I hate people that ask " Should you be eating that?". They seem to think that since you have had the surgery you can't eat anything.
  21. yes I am very regular. I meant to say that I did not really worry about it because I knew that it was because of the weight loss/surgery.
  22. I was banded on 1/21/08 and I was also late this month (2 weeks). I knew that it was due to the surgery so I did really worry about it.
  23. I have to make a mental note to never eat while driving.
  24. I thought that I was able to eat anything until I had my second fill. I ate a piece of a hamburger bun and it got stuck. I drank water since I was out and that was the only thing that I had and it made it worse. I began to slime (my first time) and my chest hurt for hours after. It was horrible!!
  25. I just had my second fill and I just found out today that I have more restriction than I thought. Today was my first experience with sliming and it was horrible.
