  1. I had a pretty crappy day today. My shirt had a stain on it, so I had to change what I was going to wear to work. The pants that I had on last week fit last week, this week they are too big. I figured they would still do. I get to work and someone tells me that I need smaller pants because they look like "granny drawers". Wow. So, I started feeling like I don't know how to shop or put together outfits anymore. I'm still trying to pull my shirts down because I'm used to be being longer (plus sized clothes are way longer than non-plus sized ones). Just gotta used to that I guess. The last time I was a size 14 I was like 16 years old. I'm 35 now, so I need to figure out how to be a 35 sexy and still feel comfortable. Plus, all I wanted today was a troth of French Fries. But, I didn't do it. Instead I went to aerobics. That crap about exercising making you feel better is a lie. I still was having a crappy and found myself not working as hard because I just couldn't get into it. Ended up buying some cute stuff at Walmart (in a size 14 and 12) and I feel pretty comformable. I noticed my shape was changing again, so I decided to measure myself. Here are my new measurements! Neck: was 16 now 14.5 Waist: was 42.3 now 39 Hips: 44.5 now 42.5 So, what started out as a craptastic day has ended on a brighter note. I'm very proud of the progress I've made, and I guess until I finish this transition I won't find my "style". That's okay, I can wait! Be easy!
  2. http://www.si03.com/reg_index.htm You have to call them to get the sample packets shipment.
  3. I can also tell you that I exercise 5 days a week, so I don't have a lot of sagging skin. My stomach still hangs over and my arms are still flabby, but I don't look like those wrinkly dogs either. Right now it's still all in check. I think as long as you exercise it you have a shot of not sagging.
  4. Most people think I look younger. It's been said that I'm no older than 25. Ha! I'm 35!!!
  5. I try to keep my carbs under 50, but occassionally they go up to 55, so that's not so bad. I get about 700-800 calories a day. It seems to be working. I notice though if I just eat Protein for lunch or dinner, I don't try to have any veggies, I can usually get in a little more calories...plus I think it depends on how active I am in the day too. My doctor said he's not going to give me number, just that the 450 calories a day I was at was too few. I'm losing weight just fine on the 700-800 calories and all of my blood work is coming back fine. Well, my good cholesterol is low, so I rearranged what I was eating to try to get different types of protein in. Still equalled out the same amount of calories.
  6. Since I've posted this I've found them in some Walmarts, too. They are $5.50 a box. While the drug store near me does have the Atkins bars, just not this flavor. Try Amazon. I've seen them there pretty cheap, too. Also, the almond cranberry is pretty tastey, too!
  7. Aye Papi! You look amazing! Keep it up! Your swagger is showing through in your smile! Keep doing the damn thing!
  8. Now that's what I'm talking about! I've lost 6.4 pounds this week! SN.............Starting Wt....................Current..........................Goal.....................lbs to Goal Shanny.......191..............................182.2................................165........................17.2
  9. I don't really like them. I made the mistake of adding milk to it - it was like trying to drink clay. Lord it was thick. I needed more calories so I thought I could get a few in by using milk instead of water. Won't do that again. I find that they are a bit too sweet, too. Maybe I'm just used to Unjury at this point. Hope they work for you!
  10. I broke my stall! Yea for eating the way I'm supposed to and not snacking on stuff I know should be nowhere near my mouth! SN...................Starting wt.......................Current..................Goal........................lbs to Goal Shanny..........191...................................184.4....................165................................19.4
  11. Woo-hoo!!! That's fantastic!
  12. That's it! I have got to STOP snacking. This past week I've been snacking like a crazy person and not eating real food, even though I'm exercising like a madwoman, I'm not losing as much as I should. I'm on the wagon again! SN...................Starting.........................Current.........................Goal..........................lbs to Goal Shanny............191.................................187.6..........................165...............................22.6
  13. So, I got my labs back today. Everything was great but they said that my good cholesterol is low - 33. I don't even know what that means. Apparently I need to eat more foods with higher good cholesterol, but I don't even know what they are. Nutrition is hella new to me. I'm already struggling to get 3 meals a day and 1 snack of protein in a day. Any suggestions?
  14. I don't have to take calcium citrate. I've have blood work done several times and my doctor has never told me I needed it. I don't take B12 either. I only had a Vitamin D definciency but I took pills for that for about 3 months and now I'm off of those too. I only take 2 gummy multivitamins everyday - and that has calcium carbonate in it.
  15. Hey 30s crew! I turned 35 in April. OMG! Can I just tell you that when my son watches MTV now I tell him stories about when they used to show music videos, and Headbanger's Ball. I don't know what the hell this Jersey Shore crap is, but it wasn't on in the 80s! I was sleeved almost 3 months ago, and I've lost nearly 60 pounds already. I want to get back to my 90s weight of 135. We'll see. I think as long as I can shop in the regular section of the store (nearly there -currently in a 14) that I'll be okay with that. So, I've got a few grey hairs now. You can't stop the sexy!
  16. Congratulations! Good luck with everything. l hope it's smooth and I'm curious to see how things play out post baby! That's so awesome!
  17. By my surgiversary, I hope to be in a size 8. I don't really care if I make my goal weight of 135, I would just like to be a size 8 again. I already feel great and have more engergy than I have had an in years. I guess I would like to be able to maintain it. I would like to be able to look at myself in the mirror and actually see my weight loss - more importantly allow myself to truly be happy about it, and not critize myself and see how much I still have to lose. I would like to know what I should/can eat without having to read the labels. I would like to feel more comfortable with lowfat cooking, and not feel out of place when I can't cook things like how I used to. That's what got me in this mess to begin with. I would like to have that much understanding over my sleeve that I still don't have the trial and error "I guess I shouldn't have eaten that" days, like I do now. Mostly importantly, I would like to stop smoking, for good, by then. I'm already doing so much, walking, jogging, exercising 2 hours a day...why am I still smoking. Hopefully by February 10, 2012, I will have kicked that too. Wow, there's so much I would like to accomplish with my health in the next year. I think I'm off to a pretty good start!
  18. Congratulations! You've done a wonderful job. Keep up the good work and much continued success to you!
  19. Okay, so I reevalutated my weight and bought a new scale...here are my official numbers for this week! SN..................Starting......................current.....................goal............lbs to goal Shanny..............191........................188.8........................165..................23.8
  20. Are you exercising? That could help you with the weight loss. Also, have you tried measuring yourself? I went to the doctor yesterday - I am in stall for the past week. Although the scale hasn't moved, my measurements have changed. Muscle weighs more than fat, so though the scale doesn't recognize it, I'm replacing fat with lean muscle which is why my body shape is changing. Also, I'm 2.5 months post op and I only get about 700 calories a day. I don't know what your calorie count should be, but maybe you could try to increase/decrease it depending on what your NUT suggests. Good luck to you. It's a tool and a journey. Don't give up!
  21. This sucks! Stupid stall and can't exercise crap!!! SN..................Starting Wt..................Current Wt...................Goal................Lbs to Goal Shanny.............191............................190.............................165.....................25
  22. I'm sorry that you're not feeling well. If it's any help, I'm almost 3 months post op and even though I drink around 70 oz of Fluid a day I only pee about 2 times a day, too, and when I do, it's not that much. My doctor told me that my body is filtering liquids differently than it did before. I don't have any UTI or any problems because of it. I don't feel sick, either. I was just worried because I don't go as much as I used to. I hope you get some answers soon, and feel better!
  23. I usually pick either an appetizer or me and my girlfriend or my son share an entree. I can't do both, though. I still have a hard time remembering not order a beverage with my food. I never get to drink it. Actually, I went to El Salto the other day with my son. I don't like Mexican food, but it was his pick. I ordered 1 chicken Enchilada. Since I can't eat the shell, I just ate the chicken out of it. It was about 3.5 oz of chicken. I was able to eat almost all of it. But, I realized midway that the sauce they used was pretty thick - I guess it was thickened with corn starch or flour, so it made me really full, really fast. I actually had to throw up while in the resturant to relieve some of the pressure. I felt much better after that. Had it not been for the sauce, I think that would have been the perfect portion of food.
  24. Funny, I started singing No sleep Til Brooklyn by the Beastie Boys when I read this. I swear between you and Jilian Michaels I'm going to be in the best shape ever! I already started. I jogged and walked around the lake for 2.6 miles. I tried to get 3 in but it was getting hot. Tomorrow I'll do better!
