  2. CALLING IN ALL THE VST STALLERS: Anybody had a stall for 4 weeks? If so how did you move on from it? I'm 8 weeks out. Lost 10Kgs (22 pounds) with ease in my 1st 4 weeks. However, the next 4 weeks after going from liquids to mushies - the scale has not moved and is doing my head in. Okay, so I need to get moving more, which I have been doing anyway and will up the liquid/water intake as much as I can, and monitor Protein intake more carefully. Am just feeling sorry for myself as this feels as though it will never end! I have been more compliant with my Sleeve than I ever was with my band. Today is a new record for me. No chocolate for 9 weeks. That's never happened before! Eish!!! (Zulu word for WOW!). My worst fear is that I paid all this money to revise from band to sleeve only to lose 10Kgs and not lose anymore ever... I love love love my Sleeve. Just want to lose lose lose as well.

  4. In a nutshell: I had been throwing up between 5 - 15 times a day for 4.5 years. It was so inconsistent as there were a few "good" moments in a day where I could keep food down, but I never knew when they would be. I could never eat healthy food, therefore could never be compliant and eventually by only eating what would stay down (which was smooth high caloric foods like cheese cake and lemon meringue or 12 prawns or boiling hot sweet drinks), I gained back 35 Kgs. Lost it again with an even tighter fill, gained back again, then lost and gained some more. How ultra depressing to gain back so much weight - and know that the only way you can get it off again is to suffer and throw up Only now at nearly 5 weeks out, do I realise just how depressed I was from that band and being so sick day in and day out. It nearly destroyed my wonderful relationship that is now starting to heal since I've been sleeved. Actually suprised myself the other day when I burst out laughing at something funny and realised I'd not laughed like that in a very long time. Must've been really hard to live with me during my time of "band". My dearheart deserves a medal. So very glad it's over. So at 4 weeks was down 10kgs/22pounds, am having a bit of a stall at week 4-5, but so what? I did not have to starve or vomit to lose any of this weight so if I have a stall every now and then, so be it. I am just so grateful to have my life back. And this is why I chose to revise to sleeve...
  5. That's great too. Did you still have some weight to lose? How is your eating now compared to the band? Am enjoying being able to keep my food down without throwing up everything like when I had my band. 30 days and no throwing up. Such relief.
  6. Hi Jaffa, how are you doing with your new sleeve now? I'm 4 weeks out and feel great, but am so nervous that (like you said) something terrible will happen. Hope it's going well. I'm down 10Kgs (22 pounds) today.I really hope it continues.
  7. Hi Everyone! Been following your stories here. I went from Band to sleeve on 24th August 2010 - 2 days before you Carrie. Feeling good, just so scared not to get to goal with this and am doing my best to be compliant. Could never be compliant with my band, could never keep anything down long enough. Don't miss it one bit!
  8. Hi Mila1013, Thank you for posting this. I've had my band for 4.5 years and am scheduled for revision to Sleeve on 24 August 2010. Am so worried that I'm making the right decision - but reading your post is reassuring because I just know I will go the same way if I leave it any longer. Thank you!
